Nice hotel in a good location

Lovely hotel in a perfect location for walking into York and being able to leave the car at the hotel. Shower was leaking quite badly and had been for a while as the floor was black in parts due to this. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable

Hotel in a great location - 10 minutes walk to the railway station, 20 minutes to the centre of York. Staff all friendly and helpful. Great idea to offer guests the option of bar voucher instead of daily housekeeping.

The hotel is in an excellent location near Micklegate and only a 5-10 minute gentle stroll into the town centre. There are a host of restaurants and pubs in the immediate locale. Whilst we didn’t eat at the hotel, the room was spacious and furnished to a high standard. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful.

Exceptional Staff!

Staff were excellent - very friendly and extremely helpful. We had an issue with a blocked wash hand basin and it was resolved immediately. The room was not quite delux but overall clean. The main good point of our stay were the staff who were exceptional!

Excellent stay, great location, fabulous service and beautiful weather. Drinks in the courtyard in the sun was perfect! Would have got 5*all the way but the folding bed for our 3 year old did exactly that, folded all the time lol. It wasn’t a major issue as we moved the mattress to the floor. Sorted. Really good value for money. A very stylish room at a very good price. The surrounding area is a bit ashore and it would have been really useful to know about the blocked walking route from the train station which meant I arrived 45 mins later than expected because I got lost in the dark. However the staff looked after me and although it was a very short stay I’d definitely ge back
