Joli hÎtel anglais trÚs confortable avec un pub au rez-de-chaussée. On peut manger quelques plats devant le match au pub ou profiter de la salle à manger. Le breakfast est servi le matin à partir de 8h45. L'hotel possÚde un bear garden pour les soirées douces et un parking.

A good base for a decent price.

Really enjoyed this hotel as a base for visiting York, rooms are above a bar but no problem with noise, all a little dated but clean with a comfy bed 10 min walk along the river to York centre, would use again if visiting York.

Cozy, comfortable, clean. Cheap drinks, great food

Me and my boyfriend stayed for 3 nights, first thing we noticed was the lighthorseman is a very good distance from town- out of the way and quiet but a very short walk (10~ minutes) either by road or alongside the canal, the latter of which made for a lovely start to each morning we were there. Not far from the train station either. Spacious and clean room, toilet and shower were pristine and the bathroom was well-ventilated. Lovely little brew station on the bed side table. Only possible complaint was the telly, which couldnt change channels so we were stuck watching love island and tennis, but that didnt have any effect in our enjoyment of the hotel room. They offer breakfast for a very reasonable price, as are the drinks at the bar. The food was great, we recommend the steak & ale pie and the chicken tikka masala. All in all, very happy, lovely pub to stay in.

Great pub with rooms with a short walk into the city centre. Pub itself is great for a drink or some food.

Great value 1 night stay. Check in was quick and easy with the friendly barman. The hotel is a 10minute walk along the river to the city centre. Bed was conformable, had a great nights sleep. Nice shower in the morning. The only reason I can't give full marks is due to the overpowering drainage smell in the bathroom. The bathroom was clean but unfortunately there seems to be an issue with the drains. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel for a great value bed for the night. Can't comment on the food and drink as we ate in the city centre. We would certainly return.

The accommodation has free parking and was convenient to walk into the city. When we were there there was no evening meals available so we had to walk to get a meal. Towels were lovely and clean but really hard and scratchy. Shower was like warm and curtains are damaged so don’t close properly

This apartment was spacious and quiet. Clean, well-appointed bathroom and kitchen with lovely views and a short walk to the beautiful river path. I would go out of my way to stay here again!

Check in was good and swift. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately we had a tiny room, very clean, but it just happened to directly above the pool room and was so noisy. The bathroom was also very small and nowhere to put your toiletries and the toilet was a Saniflow also very noisy. We sat in the dining area one evening for a drink and the tables were sticky. Great location and veryconvenient for walking around York. Free parking.

Friendly traditional Inn, good full English breakfast. Great location to walk into the City along the river, free parking also a bonus. Rooms are comfortable but the age of the building perhaps explains why the bathrooms and showers are dated. Enjoyed my second stay there and outside of building has been freshly painted.

Great location to city centre, very friendly staff, comfortable bed, good sized room, ideal for a couple of nights. Fast internet and good TV signal. Quiet overnight, no disturbance or noise, bar closed at Midnight but had a key for the other door so we could come and go as we pleased :)
