Nice hotel

I liked the staff, room, bed and bathroom. It's an old hotel that has been remodeled and they did a good job. I'll go back again when in Albuquerque.

Tastefully Renovated Route 66 Motel

I had a great stay at the Imperial! It has been recently renovated with a focus on everything cool about Route 66. The rooms are EXTREMELY clean and comfortable. They have everything to make guests feel at home. Free laundry, the lobby doubles as a trendy coffee shop (and it’s open late), and local fast-casual restaurants on premises. The staff walks around the premises to make sure everything is in good order. Places on Central can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit!

So here’s the thing: I didn’t stay here. I got here as planned and saw it was an all-open hallway (exterior) hotel. I simply won’t stay in one. But while I was there trying to figure out what to do, I took note of the exceptional cleanliness, state of good repair, cheerful nature of the grounds, and the best part: the staff were all wonderful. The front desk associate cancelled my room for me with no hesitation or attitude, very accommodating, and entirely sweet. Were it not for this hard and fast rule about exterior rooms, I suspect the rest of the stay would have been equally excellent. My deep thanks to the Imperial for their hospitality.

A Retro Gem

This is a darling, fully refurbished Route 66 motor lodge that has retained the MCM charm while updating the entire property. Cute rooms have hard floors (HUGE PLUS), bathrooms are new, there's a fun pegboard shelf/open closet system, trendy decor and peaceful but energizing color scheme. You do have the *classic* motel wall unit AC that's kinda loud, but you can also think of it as white noise. The Dive bar is onsite, and The Spin is laundry/fitness/ice machine and water bottle filler--adorably designed. Right in the heart of downtown to Nob Hill. Staff were all friendly and fun, the vibe is funky, cool, and of course, RETRO.

Needs a counter in the bathroom

The place is beautiful, stylish and clean but my main issue was the bathroom did not have a counter to put my things (toiletries, brush, hair dryer, makeup, etc), there was barely enough sink room for a tooth brush but everything else had to sit on the floor and the bedroom also didn't have any dresser to set things either, just a couple of super tiny side tables. A bathroom counter would make all the difference.

The staff welcomed us like old friends. They gave excellent tips on where to go and easiest way to move about the city. The retro renovations give it a cool vibe, look forward to returning in the future

One of my favorite stays. We stumbled upon this place on Expedia and initially I was hesitant due to the motel connotation, but the pictures of the property were very well done. And I was immediately impressed that it was even better in real life! Our room was clean, organized, and had real live plants inside! I have a couple more trips that bring me through ABQ this year and I know where I will be staying.

The property is a revamped old motel, it is cute and done well but for the price per room there should be more amenities. The restaurant has more vegan selection which required travel to get meals. The neighbor is rough and there are a lot of homeless which caused some safety concerns and we hear dogs barking for most of the time we were in our room. The water pressure in the shower was that of a drizzle, horrible. Convivence to the hospital was great but would likely not stay at the this facility again in the future based on safety and comfort concerns.

Very cute motel! It is in the downtown area which was very busy. They have on site food options and coffee shop in the lobby. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a couple of shops. There is a lot of road noise and the building is older so you definitely hear it. Our room was extremely clean, cleaner than any room I’ve ever stayed in. The beds are very firm which made sleeping a little difficult, but it is definitely worth staying.

Retro motel

This was a clean motel with a really neat retro vibe. It felt a lot like the 50’s with the decor theme but everything was fresh and clean. Very impressed and I would stay here again when visiting Albuquerque.

Their isn't much i didn't like about our stay. The area was great. Very walkable for food and the The Imperial itself has alot of upside. Food Court,Bar with Karaoke on Thursday's. I would recommend this place everyone. Rooms were awesome!!! Staff was very friendly.

Cutest retro vibe, friendly staff, comfy bed and room, super clean, fantastic food options especially the Latin cuisine. Empanadas and flan are a must have! Stairs only (no elevator) to second floor. Ground level desirable for accessibility needs, so book early because Imperial is popular. Looking forward to staying here again on our next road trip!

Pleasantly Surprised Motel

The Motel that i would stay at again in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food hall filled up with visitors once karaoke startes.
