Amazing stay.

This place was so amazing. A little oasis in a loud area. It is just off the interstate, but you forget all about that when you walk inside. Staff had cookies baking, which the kids loved. Dog friendly. Plenty of things to do so you can amuse yourself for a night easily. Restaurant was great too.

The games are so clever, especially on different floors, of different varieties, simple to use and enjoy. Open, comfortable, accessible room. Nothing that gave pause. Good food. Love the set up of the bar and dining areas. And - affordable.

I read varying reviews and now I know why. It is a cool place with fun things for kids and adults it just needs some upgrades. The girls at the desk were super nice and helpful, they even served up yummy fresh baked cookies! On the downside, our blinds covering the double glass doors were broken and did not shut out the light. The ice machine was covered in black mold with really gross water in the bottom. That was so gross it almost spoiled my whole stay.

The stay was great, but the room on the hotels.com showed a completely different room than what we were put in. We booked the deluxe king room that was an upgrade, but it was not the room that was pictured on the site.

Ive been traveling to different states and mostly stay in hotels. If you're looking for a western tradition ambiance, maybe you might like here. But, this hotel is NOT my bet. What makes it look fancy are the extra services with extra charge including hot breakfast that you can get free from other common hotels. The room with a double bed (not a queen bed as it advertised), small screened TV, continental breakfast (bread, coffee and cereal) , and the pool can be booked in common inns with better price. No gym, broken coffee maker in room and no available coffee in the lobby except during breakfast, stinky elevator and waterless washing machine. So, if you want to spend this price amount in Amarillo for a better experience, i recommend Atrea inn and Baymont. Staffs are lovely and thank you for such experience.

I love everything about the cactus cove and stay there a lot. The front desk manager is very unreasonable and disrespectful. I've asked for the owners to contact me so we could resolve this issue. I'm very doubtful they have received my message?

The hotel old room didn't have anything the beds are ok for how old they are the pool was nasty to be inside very dirty and the bottom of pool has a slime on it tats not good the tv in the room could not get to connect so you couldn't wacth tv but the restaurant they have in yhe hotel is amazing just bad experiences will not be back i travel threw here all the time thought give it a try

Hotel staff very friendly. Hotel outdated and old. They said they were under remodeled but didnt see any one working on it. Description said queen beds and we had full beds. The floor was sticky and room very humid. The arcade games kept eating our quarters. We found a cockroach. The restaurant next door fabulous and very good. Food ends at 10pm and closes at midnight. If you are light sleeper not for you, they allow pets in rooms which they were barking a lot. Plus, highway very close.

Was given a room that had not been visited by housekeeping (beds unmade, empty bottles and trash on table, used towels on floor). When I visited the front desk to notify, there was no apology or explanation given before I was provided with a new room and door code (no keycards). Upon being provided this new door code, I was told to wait 30 seconds and try again if the code didn’t work, a warning that I had not been given upon checking in to the first room, perhaps indicating that the staff was aware of a problem with the keypad for this second room. Door code then did not work for the new room and also I could see through the blinds that this second room had also not been visited by housekeeping. At that point, I returned to the front desk, placed my card with door code on the desk, then requested that I be issued a refund. Proximity of property to Quarter Horse museum and offices seems convenient as well as fun decor and a lively bar/dance club on the property, so I had been excited to stay here before this unfortunate situation occurred with my room.
