For lake lovers, you are only 2½ miles from Lake Windermere with the famous steamers offering pleasure trips to Bowness and lakeside on a regular timetable. For the big kids in the family, you’re not too far from Go Ape at Grizedale Forest, a high rope adventure course for thrillseekers.
