The young woman serving the breakfast area provided exemplary service. The entire area was clean, the breakfast options were replenished in a timely manner, and our hostess was pleasant. We have stayed at this particular hotel on several occasions and find it very comfortable with a staff that is friendly and eager to accommodate the guests. On this stay, however, we sensed a difference in the front desk personnel. While they weren't unfriendly, they did not go out of their way to be personable. We felt no warmth or sincerity in their interactions. They seemed to put forth the minimal effort required but no more. For example, we asked the front desk clerk "What time is checkout? The young man looked up from his iphone appearing to be slightly disturbed by our inquiry, and pointed to a sign on the side wall that we had not noticed. The sign announced checkout is at 11 am. I suppose the lesson is that if you have enough signage, you don't need people?!!? When we did check out, our conversation with the desk was terse and perfunctory. There were no pleasantries like, "Have a nice day" or "Come back soon," or "Thank you." We will be back and I'm certain that things will return to the level of customer service that we have come to expect.

Great variety for breakfast and clean. The hotel is at best three stars. We stayed one night- average amenities and comfort. Nothing on the nice side just average everything. Crowded parking. Close to Biltmore (15 minutes) and close to quick restaurants. The service was not friendly or helpful- we had to holler “hello…anyone here?” to get the front desk guy., Then it’s like the guy had never even heard of Asheville- deer in the headlights and this is where the hotel is located! But for one nights sleep it’s ok.,
