It’s in a convenient location in Augusta and the front desk staff was very friendly. The room was not in good condition. It didn’t seem dirty so much as just in just general disrepair. The AC didn’t work but we got in late and just needed to sleep. Looking back I wish we’d asked to switch because we all slept terribly but we were thinking we be better off just getting to bed at that late hour than going through the trouble by the time we realized it didn’t work. The iron didn’t work in the room but again by the time we realized that in the morning we didn’t have time to ask for a replacement because we were hurrying off to a tournament, I’m sure the front desk would have been helpful both the evening and morning staff were very welcoming. The room was just not the standard I’ve had at other Hilton locations, including other Doubletrees. There was no trashcan in the room, only in the bathroom. Staining on the walls and bed. Peeling walls. The hallway reeked heavily of marijuana, which I realize to an extent is out of managements control, but it was outrageous. I typically don’t bother leaving negative reviews but this was a rather overwhelming disappointing experience. As soon as we checked in Saturday we couldn’t wait to get out of that room and made it a point to stay out until late that evening so we only had to sleep there and we found even just that difficult and unpleasant.

Terrific service at guest check in. John was friendly, engaging and acknowledged the incoming guests immediately. Upon trying to get to our 4th floor room, the elevator 5th floor light was on. This caused an issue when trying to get back to the lobby/dining lounge. Service in the bar was the best she could do. One tender for the bar when it was full and very busy with food orders. She remained friendly, helpful and courteous.
