Great location-close to attractions, grocery store & restaurants, peace & quiet, toasty, very cozy, clean. Would be nice to accommodate larger dogs (50 lbs). Lots of great memories made!!! Thank you đ
This propertyâs location is perfect for being close to Sugar Mountain Resort and sight seeing around town. Itâs at the base of the mountain and in the Sugar Mountain Community, which saves an extra 15 minutes of driving up and down the mountain where many of the other resorts are located. It was only a 4 minute drive to the Sugar Mountain Resort parking lot. The property was perfect with 2 bedrooms with full beds that share a hall bath on the main floor where the living room and kitchen are located. A second living room area downstairs with a bunk bed and another bedroom (queen bed) with a bath on suite. This bathroom has a separate shower with a jacuzzi tub, but the jacuzzi part doesnât seem to work. This cabin worked for us because the kids enjoyed having the downstairs living room bunk bed area as their space. Everything was wonderful about the cabin - however it could use some pot holders and a pizza cutter! The lights for the back of the property to see the decks at night seemed to be out - but we werenât using that at night anyways. The house may seem a little quirky to some especially with the winding staircase going downstairs - but our kids loved that! We would certainly stay here again and enjoyed how close it was to everything without going up and down the mountain.
Family vacation. The house was roomy but definitely not as clean/maintained as I thought. Definitely needs some TLC. Back porch had beer cans and cigarettes butts all over and in one of the rooms there was a pile of dirty laundry in the closet. Definitely lots of spiders. They also need some new pillows bad. They were all yellow inside.. the outside lights were definitely not fixed as the property manager mentioned. Overall ok for the price in a great location.
We could not even stay in the master because there were spider webs/nests on the lights above the bed, on the bed posts, and underneath when you pulled the pillows back from the headboard.. The interior was covered in spider webs..lights, under cabinets, bed posts, under beds. Deck was slippery and dangerous and covered in leaves concealing weak spots in the wood. My husband almost fell through the front walk way because it was covered in leaves and he stepped on the boards which popped up because they were not secured, there was a six foot drop under those boards. No outdoor lights on the back deck that worked. Very disappointing . Also, the property was listed for sale and booked a showing during the middle of one of our days and didn't tell us until we checked in...day lost. Also, had to drive 3 miles to dispose of trash...why did we get charged a cleaning fee and an envelope left for a tip to clean the place when everything was literally covered in cob webs and we had to drive our own trash off!?!
Very easy check-in, helpful and friendly staff. Location was easy to find and in a good area.
I feel the unit needs some TLC, the front walkway rocked when you walked on it from rotted wood underneath. Also there was a severly rotted planter on back deck.
Though these things did not degrade the trip it would cause me to think about renting in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay and would have rated 5stars except for the TLC needed.
Cabin was larger than expected. Huge balcony/terrace with firepit and grill was where we spent most of our time, large downstairs living room and 2 full bathrooms allowed everyone to enjoy their stay.
Very nice trip to the Boone area with a beautiful property.

Great secluded location!
The house was great, lots of space for relaxing and so peaceful sitting on the back deck by a fire pit looking into the mountains! Location was amazing, not far at all from any of the attractions we wanted to go too and even closer to foodlion for anything you forgot. My only complaint would be that the house wasnât completely cleaned when we got in, the bathtub had dirt and spiders come out of the jets when water hit it and there was some dog hair from a previous renter still on the floor when I swept and on pillows(which really only bothered me due to allergies). All in all I would definitely rent there again.
We brought our family to the area to experience Tweetsie Christmas. The cabin was comfortable and the perfect size for us. The lower deck was very nice with a pretty view!
