The swimming pool, a true marvel, offers breathtaking views of enchanting landscapes, surrounded by lush gardens, vineyards and olive groves. This aquatic treasure, reserved only for our guests, is protected by a discreet fence and private gated access. Its size, 15x7 metres, with a depth varying from 1.20 to 1.40 metres, guarantees total safety, while comfortable loungers in the shade of the olive trees and along the edge invite you to relax.
Next to it, a romantic gazebo surrounded by green vines, with chairs and table, is the perfect refuge from the summer heat. There is also a jacuzzi, an outdoor shower and a changing room with a well-stocked fridge for cooling off in the sun.
In the courtyard, a larger gazebo, with a table for 18 people, is the ideal place for lunches and dinners under the stars on hot summer nights. And in the garden, an open-air theatre awaits your wishes: concerts, private parties, anything is possible.
But the surprises don't end there. A splendid 80-square-metre veranda is ready to receive you at the back of the garden. Furnished with sofas, it can accommodate up to 70 people for events, and the glass windows protect it from the unexpected bad weather.
The cottage, your very own retreat, is surrounded by an intimate garden, protected by high hedges and a private gate. Here you will find two comfortable sun loungers and a small table for four, perfect for al fresco meals. A winter garden allows you to enjoy the outdoor beauty even when the bad weather is raging outside. A bright and peaceful ambience, furnished with a touch of simple elegance, awaits you with a cosy sofa, a coffee table lit by an elegant abat-jour, and a circular table for 4.

Description
The villa is set in a unique position, nestled in the enchanting Tuscan countryside. The estate is a true oasis of tranquility and provides the comfort and amenities for all needs and stays. The lovely, private swimming pool, is beautifully positioned, surrounded by gardens, vineyards and olive trees. This large open-air pool with surrounding stone terrace is protected by a fence, with locking gate, and thus ensures complete privacy. The pool measures 15 x 7 meters and goes from a depth of 1.20 to 1.40 meters... therefore offers the possibility to easily stand anywhere within the pool. Comfortable sun-beds provide total relaxation, either under the shade of the olive trees or at the pool’s edge. A splendid vine covered gazebo, with chairs and a table, offers refreshing shade, during the hottest hours of the day. As well, at poolside, there is an amazing Jacuzzi hot tub, an outdoor shower, a changing cabin and a small fridge to enjoy snacks or light drinks while sunbathing. In the warm weather months you can comfortably eat outdoors, under the large gazebo. A huge table and chairs for 18 people welcome you to the courtyard. In the garden there is also an amazing open air theatre where concerts, parties or private events can take place.
Finally, it's almost finished the construction of the 80sqm veranda on the back garden furnished with cozy sofas, but where can be placed up to 70 chairs. In case of bad weather the whole terrace can be covered with sliding glass doors.

The Guest House
The well-kept garden is equipped with 2 deck chairs and a round table for 4 people, perfect for al fresco meals. The lovely conservatory keeps the contact with nature even in bad weather and is an enchanting place where to eat meals, relax or read a book in a bright and quiet atmosphere. The room is simple but cozy and is furnished with a sofa, a smoking table with an elegant lampshade and a delightful round table with 4 chairs.

Villa Serena is located nearby the town of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, supermarkets, banks etc..
Located in the heart of Chianti, the villa is in a strategic position to visit all historical sites in Tuscany. Closest towns are the medieval Barberino Val d'Elsa, Greve in Chianti, the “capital city” of Chianti Wine, and Certaldo, the birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio.
Tuscany, and particularly the Chianti area, offer a vast selection on activities for all tastes. Why don't starting just with wine and olive oil tours tastings without leaving the property ...within the Villa there is the Estate cellar, where, along with barrels with its own Chianti DOCG red wine, bottles of its olive oil are stored.
Sports addicted can explore paths and tracks of untouched environments on foot or by bike. The area is rich in horse clubs and golf courses.
Among the limitless choice of itineraries, one of the most original tour ideas might be visiting the places selected by famous movies directors for blockbusters movies such as Volterra and Montepulciano for "The New Moon" episode of the Twilight Saga, Cortona for “Under the Tuscan Sun” or Florence seen from the opposite perspectives of “Room with a View” and "Hannibal". The multi Oscar-awarded "Life is beautiful" and the homecoming scene in the "Gladiator" are also been shot in Tuscany.

Interior Description
Villa Serena can accommodate up to 14 people and is made up of seven finely furnished bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a 7th one, small but cozy and perfect for kids or young people. Meticulous and detailed restoration, with the objective of retaining as many of the original architectural elements of the villa, has resulted in recreating the ancient atmosphere of this noble family home. Lastly, all art lovers will enjoy the permanent exhibition of contemporary art works of Villa Castellare de' Sernigi.
The Villa is set on 2 levels:
Ground floor: on this floor there are two living rooms and a dining room. A grand dining room modern table, three meters long (with the possibility of an extension to 4.5 meters, seating 12-20 persons), comfortable chairs and sideboards graciously furnish this room. An impressive fireplace decorates one entire wall and seems to hold court, in this perfect location to share your lunches and dinners. To further enhance the magic, all the dishes and plates are embossed with the Sernigi family crest. Follows a fully equipped gourmet kitchen brand new (with professional stoves, an industrial dishwasher, double refrigerator and a marble topped table) and a convenient guest bathroom. Complete the floor 1 bedroom behind the kitchen with small window, twin beds and en-suite bathroom oltre ad un ulteriore camera doppia con letti unibili dotata di bagno con vasca e doccia.
Top floor: on this level there are two large and beautifully bright living rooms. The warm rays of the Tuscan sun shine gloriously through the enormous arched windows and you can thoroughly relax on the comfortable sofas and or armchairs. Gazing out upon the surrounding countryside with the tall majestic cypress trees brings total peace. A magnificent stone fireplace bearing the Sernigi Family crest, stands guard in one of the living rooms and the floors that surround you, glow with the special patina of aged hand-made terracotta. The comforts of home have not been forgotten: within an elegant antique large cabinet, you will discover a satellite TV, a DVD and CD player. The rest of the level leads to the sleeping area made up of 5 airy and wide bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. All the bathrooms have been completely restored and have large showers. The furnishings have been carefully chosen in order to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment, which is in harmony with the essence of the Villa. The furniture is completely renovated with special attention to comfort and taste such as the selection of beds which are all sommier.

- Single bedroom: single bed (an extra single bed can be added), view of the garden and the area in front of the Villa, bathroom with shower.
In the cellar there is also a cozy massage table.
On request and only together with the rental of the Villa, is available the Guest House Casa Maria for additional guests. This cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and can sleep up to 6 people.
We have made special provision for our guests to be able to play tennis on a clay court, at a private villa adjacent to our property.
Included free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Air conditioning serves the entire villa and windows have built-in screens, which will guarantee a cool and relaxing summer.

The Guest House is a lovely cottage set on 2 floors.
Harmonizing to the pattern of the main villa renovation, also the cottage has been restored with accuracy in perfect tuscan country style with the objective of retaining most of the original architectural elements as well as ensuring all the modern comforts to guests. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and sleeps up to 6 people.
