Ruim, maar donker en wat hokkerig. Het is meer een rijtjeswoning met een grote tuin.
Locatie uitstekend. Midden in Champagne.
We (3 couples, 1 child) have spent a long weekend in the holiday home which is nicely located in the middle of champagne region just a foot walk away from the next vineyard. We very much enjoyed the huge and wild garden with its sea full of flowers. The huge table outside offered the possibility to sit in the sun during breakfast. When it's cold, the dinner room can be heated using the fireplace. There is plenty of nice bed rooms and a very nice bathroom downstairs. The communication with our host worked very well and we were offered the possibility to check out later which was great.
The home is absolutely lovely and cozy. It accommodated my family of five adults very comfortably. The rooms are very spacious and tidy. The proximity of the local bakery and gas station were a plus as well as the neighboring town of Reims-It's a must see! Being able to come "home", have a glass of wine as we waited for our dinner to be cooked on the grill in the spacious backyard is one of the many memorable moments that made our family trip unforgettable. The convenience of a fully equipped and functioning kitchen was a huge bonus and cost effective. Driving to and from Paris or to and from Belgium was a sight to see. The pastures, hills and landscapes is something from a novel. The views made the drive very pleasurable. Besides the private backyard, two areas my brothers and I enjoyed were the sunroom and the cave. The cave is such a unique feature of the home- although it is equipped with a tv, during our stay we only used it once. Instead, our time in the cave was filled with many nostalgic stories and laughs. All in all, our stay in the beautiful home was a picturesque haven for my family! I cannot imagine a better place to have shared and create new memories with my family In France. Many, many thanks!!!!
Absolutely amazing farmhouse in the heart of the Champagne region!!!
Do not pass this house up. Everything about this place is spectacular. It provides the luxury of the Champagne region while simultaneously being very cozy. It is the perfect place for a family reunion or other events, with so many bedrooms. The backyard is spacious and features a beautiful vegetable garden while surrounding with aesthetically vineyards.
The owners were very responsive to our needs and provided us valuable information regarding local activities. We had the pleasure to meet several champagne producers in the region. Right across the street is the Remy's, which had spectacular champagne at a reasonable price.
The house is centrally located with a short 40-min train ride to the heart of Paris. We would spend the day in Paris and enjoyed evening walks at the picturesque village.
Pictures do not do justice to this beautiful house and village.
House was very comfortable and met our expectations. Very well furnished , comfortable and spacious. The village was in the middle of champagne country with lots of tasting opportunities and close to Epernay with the larger champagne houses. I will definitely stay there again.
Nice comfortable home, had lots of spaces for small groups, tastefully decorated, nice staff. I think the issues they had last year were solved. We could not find a better place right in the middle of Champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks for the memories.
I definitely recommend this place!

Great place for groups to stay to explore Champagne region!
I took a group of 9 friends here in August 2016.
The place was perfect for what we needed. It has spacious bedrooms and living space, and a really great outside patio / BBQ area and garden. Also a really nice "cave" room for watching TV (not that we used it as the weather was fab). It has a big drive way for 4 cars. The place is comfortable and clean; it is not swanky /plush but that's not what we wanted/needed.
It is situated in a nice small village in a perfect location to explore the region by car. There are also a few local and small champagne producers in the village to buy from - but there is nothing else in the village - the nearest bakery / pharmacy etc is a 10mins drive to the next village (which is fine in the beautiful scenery).
We had an electricity outage for a few hours on one evening but we sorted that in the end with minimal disruption - turns out there are multiple fuse boxes including in the garage! The house could probably benefit from an additional bathroom - there are only 2 - but hey we managed fine. We had no problems getting access to the property upon arrival as others seem to have experienced.
Overall we loved the place and would return. It was excellent value for money too!

Small town home centrally located.
Check in procedure did not go well. House was not cleaned and ready for check in when promised. We were given the wrong code on lock box for the keys to the door. Opening the door took some effort, needs to be repaired. Four sparse bedrooms with no place to hang or store your clothes. Suitcases had to be placed on the floor. Bedrooms only had a small double bed, small end table and very small chair. The kitchen was large enough but very dark and half of the lights were burnt out. Only 1 bathroom upstairs for 4 bedrooms. Very small bathroom downstairs. The cave TV room and the sun porch were very comfortable. The town is very small with no cafe's or markets. The house has no view and is on the main street so the tractors pass by frequently. Not too quiet. The location is good for touring. I rate this property 3 out of 5.

Poor
We enjoyed our holiday however should point out to you a few issues we had with the arrival arrangements and the property itself.
We received our departure information on the Monday 6th June, only 4 days before leaving home. This was too close to our departure. We received another email on 8th mentioning with a code for the key safe in case the Host, Angele couldn't meet us. At no point were we told that she would not be there. The code given was wrong and we received another email 2 days later giving us the correct number and still with no mention that Angele wouldn't be there. We were asked to confirm receipt of the message which we didn't read. This must have sent out an alarm bell and someone should have looked into this further. We arrived at 3pm on the Saturday and waited for Angele given that the code we had didn't work. We called Angele leaving a message for her. Over the next 3 hrs we asked 3 villagers to help and the final lady was most helpful and again called Angele and also the owner in New Jersey leaving voice mails. We had to arrange other accommodation which we would pay for at 6pm If Angele hadn't arrived. At 5.55pm our daughter called fron UK saying another emailed mentions a new key code. We were in the Gite 3 hrs after we arrived! Also despite the voice mails we heard nothing all week from Angele or the owner, even on our departure! We found a large house which was great however we were very disappointed with standard of cleanliness, it smelt very musty and clearly it had been locked up for a while. Wiping the surfaces and making the beds is not good enough and there was stain on one bed sheet, in fact we had to clean the bathrooms and kitchen upon our arrival. We chose not to pay for the clean which I find appalling that we have to clean before we leave, clearly the previous guest must of had the same thought as the standard was very bad. There was a label telling us that we weren't permitted to use the washing machine.
The house was old fashioned and dated not a 'Luxurious Farmhouse' as the advert stated. We left at 11am on the departure day and still nothing from Angele. The house was much cleaner when we left than when we arrived. We loved the area, had a lot of fun together but what a shame about the house and our arrival day. We felt rather stranded and no-one could be contacted to assist us. We hope this information will help you.

Host ignoring all emails and won't refund security deposit
We had a nice stay but the host Mrs Delprato hadn't returned my security deposit, and also won't reply emails asking for a response. We even paid extra for cleaning and linen service. Has left me extremely anxious - the security deposit was a significant amount of the overall rental and this is very disappointing... I don't know what my legal options are but given the host won't respond am hoping I have options with VRBO
