Hi Laurie Many thanks for booking with us, and for your comments and suggestions on our Home Away from Home. Visitor expectations can vary and we do welcome individual feedback and experiences, so we can make things better for our next visitors. Great that you appreciated the additional amenities. We do leave many of our own items for guests to use as over the years we have learnt what works for us and would wish our guests to have benefit of that. We are disappointed that you did not feel that the cleaning was up to standard. It’s the first time that this has ever been raised as a concern, and we have asked Jo to speak to the cleaner about this. Wherever we travel we would expect a place to be spotless and would also expect our place to be the same. On the bugs front that can be tricky depending on the time of year. We have the villa sprayed regularly as being in the tropics we know it can be a concern from overseas visitors. Mosquitos and no-seeums are a part of island living and we do leave bug spray in the villa for people to use. We will though add to our villa file about closing doors at dawn and dusk as that is when they can be most prevalent. We are lucky being on the Atlantic side that we get the fabulous breezes that keep most bugs away. We will be at the villa shortly, and will review the towels and sheets and make sure they are up to standard. We will also add to the file the location of the hammock if guests wish to use it. We did buy a new one, so it is not the same as pictured. It would also be helpful to know which aspects of the bathroom you feel need updating. We love the spa tub and the large vanity, and would appreciate your thoughts for upgrades. Jo is a great information resource as things do often change whilst we are off island. We will though ensure that our information folder is updated when we come in a few weeks time. Thank you again for your booking and hope you enjoyed St Kitts as much as we do.
