Nice place for 6-8 people
Posted Apr. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was a nice rental. It is really better fitted for 6-8 people/adults. We had ten adults and it was really tight. The communications with the owner is wonderful; they are very nice. They did a great job putting together a binder and guidebook. The location is good and near lots of fun things (we did a good hike and had a nice visit to a winery). The place is not very clean (there was old food left under the dining room table, the tops of the shower have been left uncleaned for a while, and the beds had not be mopped/swept under in a while given the amount of dust and dirt), but for a rustic getaway, it's not too bad. The bunk beds are seriously damaged and felt like they were about to fall apart. Overall, we had a good time, but will look for a larger place in the future. This would be a good choice for a small family on a budget looking for a beautiful deck and nice surroundings.

Great place!
Posted Apr. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house was perfect for our weekend with family. There was so much natural light and the fireplace, with firewood provided, was really nice. We enjoyed Shenandoah Caverns, a hike around Laura Lake, and the Rt. 11 Chip Factory.

Peaceful
Posted Jan. 20, 2024 on HomeAwayWe found the cottage very peaceful and well equipped. Location is great as it is just a short walk to the ski area. My chef husband had lots of fun in the kitchen. Even though it was very cold the house was cozy and warm.
I do recommend the listing include a statement saying 4 wheel drive is required if there is any snow. The road the house is location on was plowed but not treated, so it was very icy.

Regarding your recommendation to include a note about 4-wheel drive in our listing, we completely understand the importance of providing accurate and helpful information to our guests. To address your concern, I would like to highlight that we do recommend having 4-wheel drive when traveling to our mountain cabin, particularly during winter months or when there is a possibility of snowfall. This is especially important given the location of our property (1 block from the resort) and it's proximity to a ski resort. However, I do understand that different guests may have varying travel preferences and vehicle capabilities, so I strive to communicate this information effectively. I want to note that I did reach out 24 hours before your arrival to make sure you were aware of the impending snow and to emphasize the importance of using 4-wheel drive. I apologize if there was any confusion regarding the vehicle requirements which can at most be a suggestion on my part. I look forward to the possibility of having you stay with us again!

Christmas Stay @ Bryce
Posted Jan. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayMy family decided at the last minute to visit Bryce for the holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner had a Christmas tree up and bottle of wine for us. The kitchen was nice and fully stocked, bathrooms were old and could use an update especially if you want to place a luxury tag on the property. Not sure if property had been used or extensively cleaned in a while but there were huge spider webs hanging from chandelier and in multiple corners and doors. Proximity to Bryce Resort was great. We walked one day. Overall property was nice and served our purpose.

Nice cabin

Posted Nov. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed the view from the large deck, the fire pit, and the location, just 2 blocks from Bryce Resort. Our group of 7 had plenty of room to move about inside. The host was awesome and we plan to book this property again!
