This was our first time in Indonesia and we had a good experience. We enjoyed a walk from the ferry terminal to the hotel even though a short cab ride would have been easier. We booked adjoining rooms, but since they were very busy they offered to upgrade us if we could accept rooms across the hall. Breakfast was phenomenal, much better than any Western hotel we've stayed in with tons of spicy options. Lovely. We spent a few stretches at the pool and in the gym. Walked to the Nagoya hill mall a few times during the trip to have dinner and local treats. Great service and lovely people. Probably my favorite spot on our 6 week, multi country Asia trip.

**Disappointing Stay – Safety and Service Issues** We stayed in a triple room for two nights but only received amenities for two. The air conditioner couldn’t be switched to heating, and the bathroom was poorly designed. Water spread across the floor after showering due to a single drain near the toilet and a broken ventilation fan. My sister slipped, which scared my elderly mother. We tried calling to report the issue, but the phone didn’t work. After going to the front desk, staff sent someone quickly. Only the phone was fixed—none of the other problems were addressed. The ventilation was centrally controlled and turned off while the floor was still wet. We were told to call room service just to get extra carpets. A room change was requested but never arranged. The shuttle bus only runs on Fridays and Saturdays, which was inconvenient. Overall, poor facilities and lack of proper support made the stay very disappointing.
