I checked in on Friday and was immediately hit with a strong mold and mildew smell as soon as I walked into my room. It smelled wet and musty — like something had been sitting damp for a long time. I went to the front desk to request a different room, hoping it was just a one-time issue, but the second room had the exact same problem. There is visible mold on the windows, and the shower also has mold and mildew buildup. The smell is overwhelming and made it uncomfortable to even be in the room. It's clear that there’s a serious ventilation or cleanliness issue, and it doesn’t seem like it’s being properly addressed. I’m very disappointed with the condition of this hotel and would not recommend it unless they take serious steps to resolve the mold problem. For health and safety reasons, I hope management takes this seriously. I Do Not Recommend This Property!

Such a quiet and relaxing stay. The room was very nice and the staff very courteous. What impressed me the most is that we left a garment bag with a week’s worth of clothing and it was held until we sent someone to pick it up for us considering we traveled from out of State. I can appreciate the staff’s professionalism and honesty considering I’ve left something behind at another hotel and didn’t get it back.

It was good. Room was comfortable but smaller than expected. We were in Baton Rouge for the USBS tournament and the hotel was close to our event. Good restaurants in walking distance.

Disappointing Stay in Downtown Baton Rouge

The location is convenient—right in downtown Baton Rouge—but everything else left much to be desired. There’s no hotel parking included, so you’re forced to either pay $20 for self-parking or $25 for valet. On top of that, they place a $20 hold on your card. No free breakfast either, which felt like another miss. We stayed on a Saturday night, and it was ridiculously loud outside around midnight—cars revving, music blasting. Not ideal for families or anyone looking to get rest. Our room was spacious, likely an ADA room, which worked fine for us as we were traveling with kids. It had two queen beds, each with only three pillows, which felt odd. Beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy and mostly clean. However, the bathtub had some grime, and the shower faucet was coming off. It made it impossible to enjoy a hot shower without the water suddenly turning scorching due to the loose handle. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. Next time I’m in Baton Rouge, I’ll book an Airbnb and skip the hassle.
