Welcome to Beech Timber, a rustic off-grid escape made for travelers who actually want to unplug. Set on roughly 25 private wooded acres with developed hiking trails, a creek, firepit, outdoor kitchen, hammock, tent camping space, outdoor shower, and privy, this stay is much closer to camping-with-a-roof than a traditional cabin. Spend your days hiking your own private trails, relaxing by the creek, cooking outside, lounging in the hammock, or simply enjoying how quiet things get when there’s no TV, no A/C, and very little standing between you and the woods.

• Important Off-Grid Note: Beech Timber does not have traditional electricity, running water, A/C, or heat. A small solar setup provides one outlet for charging small devices or light sources. Please plan and pack accordingly.

• Outdoor Kitchen + Amenities: The minimalist outdoor kitchen includes a propane stove and sink setup using two 5 gallon water jugs. The property also includes a charcoal grill, beautiful firepit area, hammock, tent camping area, outdoor rainwater shower, outdoor privy, creek access, and approximately 25 private acres with developed hiking trails.

• Sleeping Arrangements:
- Ground Floor: 1 Queen Bed + 1 Twin Bed
- Loft: 2 Queen Beds

• Bedding Note: Beds may be stored upright and will be unmade when you arrive. Fresh linens are kept protected in totes to help keep them clean in the heavily wooded environment. Guests will need to lower the beds and make them using the provided linens.

• Bathroom + Shower:
- 1 outdoor privy
- 1 outdoor rainwater shower

The outdoor shower operates on collected rainwater only, and we do not supply additional shower water. You are welcome to bring extra water if needed. If you plan to use the shower or nearby creek, please bring biodegradable soap.

• Towels: Towels are not provided, so please plan to bring your own.

• Pet Policy: Beech Timber is dog-friendly with no additional pet fee. Dogs only, please. Be sure to include pets with your reservation at checkout so our housekeeping team knows to expect them. Dogs must be crated if left unattended inside the cabin.

• Starter Essentials: Fresh bed linens are provided and stored in protected totes. We also include an Essential Starter Pack with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, biodegradable dish soap, 3 trash bags, and 1 fresh sponge.

• Water: Please plan to bring plenty of drinking water and any additional water your group may need for cooking, washing, or showering during your stay. There is no running water at Beech Timber.

• Firewood + Grill: Firewood and charcoal are not provided. We encourage purchasing firewood locally to help prevent the spread of invasive species and protect our beautiful wooded areas. Please bring charcoal for the grill.

• Parking + Access: Beech Timber is accessible by standard vehicles under normal weather conditions. 4WD is always recommended during winter weather, snow, ice, heavy rain, or other inclement conditions. Trailers are prohibited.

• Location: Beech Timber offers a secluded setting near Red River Gorge while keeping hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sightseeing, restaurants, and other area adventures within reach.

• A Note About Nature:
You’re staying in the heart of Kentucky’s Red River Gorge, surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and all the nature that comes with them. While our cabins are professionally cleaned and routinely treated for pests, occasional insects and other woodland visitors may still make an appearance—especially during warmer months. This is a natural part of staying in a heavily wooded mountain environment and does not necessarily indicate a cleanliness or pest-control issue.

- Please contact us as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds or date modifications within 14 days or less of your arrival.
- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in the area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year`s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
