2 hotel male staffs went up to my room around 6 pm and opened my hotel door when i failed to respond to the reception call and the knocking on my door. Without permission, consent, and authorization, using their hotel access keys, they opened my door alleging my inability to pick up the telephone as the cause of their intrusion. It was 6:00 pm, and I was in the bathroom. They could not even wait until the next morning to discuss whatever it was they needed from me, a guest who is booked for 9 days in their hotel. Where is the guest's right to privacy? During a guest's tenancy, employees are not authorized to enter the room except for routine or requested cleaning and maintenance. Ocak Hotel has violated my right to privacy and endangered my security. Such a sad experience that you were more safe walking in the streets of beautiful Berlin than in the supposed to be comfort of your hotel room.

The hotel was fine with very friendly staff. However, it is very misleading when they indicate a kitchenette. It comprises of cupboards, kettle for tea/ instant coffee and very small fridge. No other appliances or dishes are provided……not a toaster or microwave. If you would like these, we were told that it would be an additional 30 euros a day. I was very disappointed as I booked this hotel because of the kitchenette since we were spending 11 days in Berlin. Had I known in advance, I likely wouldn’t have switched hotels since the one I had previously booked included a full kitchen. The extra fee was not indicated in the property details. I had to scroll to find it.

Property was fine but WiFi did not work in our room and after speaking to reception still not fixed. Few things, rain shower did not work properly, toilet flush sometimes stuck. Our youngest child ended up with rash after sleeping on sofa bed.

The common area was poorly unlit. In fact very minimal lighting in the room as well. Customer service was ok, we kept getting random strangers knocking on our door. Not sure if the front desk was giving out incorrect room numbers

A great ApartHotel
Posted Sep. 18, 2023 on HotelsA neat apartment Hotel approximately 6km from Brandenburg gate. Car parking available at the property for EUR 18 per day. There is a kettle in the apartment but no kitchen/cooking which wasn’t a concern for us. There are lots of eateries close by and Uber costs around EUR 12-15 (non peak hours) to get to main attraction centres. I would stay here again.

Outside of main city but takes 4 minutes to get to Berlin hbf, nice area and loads of shopping and food options. Also really pretty room, but had to pay if you wanted kitchen utensils.

Good location with lots of excellent local restaurants. Close to the Berlin public train service. The neighborhood is vibrant and nice - lots of families and ethnic restaurants.
Hotel is very clean and quiet.
