Perfect cabin on the Quietside
Posted Jun. 24, 2023 on HomeAwayThe cabin is clean, quiet, comfortable, and well supplied with everything you might need. Great places to eat nearby and close to hiking trails. We will definitely stay here again!

The perfect way to celebrate our wedding elopement weekend
Posted Sep. 18, 2022 on HomeAwayThis rental was above and beyond what we were hoping for. When we say this cabin was the perfect rental on the “quiet side”, we mean it! There was not a sound or person in your surroundings, all you could see or hear was the wind blowing through the trees. Out of all the places we have stayed in Acadia (cabins, campsites), this was by far the most quiet. The host was very attentive to our special occasion and left a detailed note, celebratory wine and swan towel decorations on the bed. The host also reached out a few times to make sure we were comfortable and the heat was working well enough given the drop in temps. We are blown away by this rental and recommend it so so so much! We will definitely be back for wedding anniversaries to come. Not enough good things to say!!!!

Perfect Stay!
Posted Sep. 9, 2022 on HomeAwayMy parents and I greatly enjoyed our stay in Bobcat cabin. Perfectly placed on the quieter side of the island while still within a short distance of hiking, kayaking, and amazing food options. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Not what we expected
Posted Sep. 5, 2022 on HomeAwayThe Good: Cabin comes with bug spray which is heavily needed for the mosquitos waiting right outside 24/7. Wi-Fi is solid and the area provides quiet settings. Plush towels and great washer and dryer set up. Well stocked cabin.
The Bad: when you enter the cabin you will smell mothballs. The listing says Queen size but it’s a Full and very uncomfortable, huge dissatisfaction for the price paid per night. Location is 20-30 minutes drive into town so plan your days out to stay out all day. The couch/chair in the living area also could be updated for more comfy seating. There is no A/C but we found a small fan upstairs that helped a little at night. The water heater is in a timer so no hot water for showers mid day. We had to use towels to provide privacy for some of the windows as they did not have blinds. The grill was in need of cleaning upon arrival so we needed up not using it. The exit process was unusual we had to strip the beds and take out all the trash, I thought that’s what the cleaning fee was for?
Overall: We made the best of it and the property manager was made aware of the bed upgrade needed, I’m sure they will update that. I have to give this Visit a 7/10. Will not revisit this cabin but will revisit Bar Harbor!
Comment from Hotel Management

From the Owner: Naomi, thank you for your review.
- The cabin is rustic pine so there is a wood smell, but we have never used mothballs or any other chemical agent in the cabin.
-Our bed is not a full-size bed but it is a queen-size bed (60"x80"). I was concerned about the comfortability of this guest, but we could not easily change out a mattress.
- I believe the "20-30 minutes drive into town" is referring to Bar Harbor. It should be clear by the map presented on the listing that we are not next to Bar Harbor, nor do we advertise as such in the property description. We do reference Acadia National Park as being nearby.
- We do not advertise AC in our property amenities.
- Our water heater is not on a timer. We believe they were mistaking the wall electrical box in the closet that houses the water heater, which is an alarm for the wastewater system in case the tank unexpectedly fills up.
-We apologize for the lack of blinds, but the few windows in the cabin that do not have blinds are too high up to see inside.
-We apologize for the grill, it is normally cleaned after each stay.
- We will work to improve the checkout process, but removing trash and stripping beds is not out of the norm to ask of guests and is clearly stated in our listing under the Check-out Instructions.
We want to make sure our guests have a pleasant stay, so we appreciate the feedback.
Thanks,
Tammy Corson

Nice place to stay
Posted Aug. 14, 2022 on HomeAwayThis property was just as expected. Clean, quiet, and stocked with everyday items that are needed. It was nice to have wifi since mobile data is spotty around the areas of Acadia National Park.
