A beautiful and pampered place with nature.

Posted Nov. 12, 2015 on Expedia
Pros: Surrounded with nature, a river flowing with in the property, best food, excellent services and luxury villas and mind blowing property.
Location: Mind blowing property with nature, 2 to 3 beaches to visit, close by trekking location, nature walk within property, kayaking & other indoor games.
A beautiful and pampered place with nature. My stay at this property was for two days with 3 of my friends. Every one were so much thrilled about this stay. It has just been 5 day we had been to this place, but every one of are feeling to go back and stay in this property on all the weekends. Our stay was not only in the property, we had extra activities which included trekking, kayaking, darting, foosball, table tennis,Fish Therapy, etc.we also visited the closest beaches like, Murdeshwara beach, Shirur beach, Someshwara beach and Marvanthe beach. All holiday stay would end only staying at the hotel or resorts, but this place is different from others. The service and the staff are too good.

Lovely forest location but overpriced

Posted Apr. 15, 2015 on Hotels
Enjoyed stay but didn't quite meet expectations given price and website. Good - location in beautiful forest well off beaten track and near temples/beaches, bungalow very clean, spacious and comfortable, staff friendly and keen to please, food was tasty, plentiful and made from local produce. Bad - overpriced in comparison to similar resorts (as is priced at luxury end of market and is definitely not in this bracket), staff novice, grounds and facilities could be better quality and maintained e.g. pool and chairs could've been cleaner, building is still going on so facilities seemed unfinished, activities offered bit disappointing - e.g bird watching walk (guide did not speak much English or show us any birds), kayak trip was just 10 mins. The remote forest location seems to be proving a challenge - power cuts, no internet, no credit card facilities. At moment focus seems to be on building expansion rather than improving quality of existing facilities and service. New general manager may help to address these issues?

Nice location and ambience, food disappointing

Good - Great place to relax and in the lap of nature. It has a great short treck to a beautiful falls - Very nice ambience in the rooms, very cosy and tastefully and thoughtfully done interiors. Bad - Kept asking if someone could tell be the variety of flora (apparently 6000+ species) at the resort, but no one turned up. - Food used to be great last year, but reduced in variety and quality - Staff was novice
