CHARMING HISTORIC HOME IN THE VILLAGE - COMPLETELY REMODELED
3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is beautifully and completely Remodeled and is just steps to the Village. WiFi, 2 Smart TV's with Firestick & Roku remote for streaming, Blu-Ray player, Fireplace, Washer/Dryer, Library, BBQ, Large Front Porch and Back Deck, Driveway Parking, Pet Friendly.

OUR HOME IS A VILLAGE DELIGHT ! Dazzling "Christmas Tree Corner" is just steps from our Home. Winter turns The Village into a Wonderland of Dazzling Lights. Stroll to the Village all dressed in it's festive beauty, right at the end of our block! Our home is only four houses from The Village, which is less than a 100-yard walk and a short easy walk, on sidewalks, to the Lake, Rotary Park and Pine Knot Marina! The National Forest is also just up the street from our home, for easy access to great Hiking and Biking trails. Our home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, yet steps to The Village! An added bonus during the snow season, is that our home is an easy drive just off the main Village road. No icy hills to navigate, and our street is plowed during snow season.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE:
The entire interior of the cabin is upgraded and completely remodeled, including the carpet and flooring! Cozy up to the gas log fireplace when the chilly weather pays a visit. A Weber Propane BBQ is on the large back deck. Large Pine Trees offer a great space for Hammock napping. The spacious covered grand Front Porch has a Table with 4 chairs, and 2 rocking chairs, to extend the living space into the great outdoors. The front porch is a great place for dining, fun board game and card playing, visiting, or just relaxing with a good book. This house is as clean as it gets. Plenty of driveway parking, including boat parking. Pet Friendly.

Video Surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of our home. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons, and to monitor occupancy compliance, authorized pet compliance, and other policies. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these outdoor public areas. Disabling or obscuring the cameras are prohibited and may result in eviction without any refunds.

CLEANING PROTOCOL:
We have always taken pride in providing a very clean home for our guests. We are now committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols consisting of Best Practices provided to us by the City of Big Bear Lake and the County of San Bernardino. We are redefining our cleaning and safety standards and will actively monitor and evolve our solutions to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests.

CITY OF BIG BEAR LAKE VACATION RENTAL ORDINANCE:
The City of Big Bear Lake’s regulations require that there may only be 3 vehicles at the property. All guest vehicles must be parked in the driveway. No Guest street parking at any time. Music/Noise must be kept to a low level and never be audible at the property line, to disturb our neighbors. No parties. Maximum of 6 occupants at our property at all times, 24/7. There is ZERO Tolerance for violating any of the Ordinance or City Code regulations. See the rental agreement for the complete Ordinance and City Codes. Citations and possible eviction, without any reservation refunds, will be enforced. Thank you for helping to keep our beautiful mountain community a safe and pleasant destination.

We stayed at this home in Big Bear Village from January 17–24, 2026, and it was phenomenal. The house was exactly as described, and the location could not be better. It’s just a few houses from the heart of the village, so we could easily walk to restaurants, shops, and everything we needed—yet it still felt private and like a true mountain escape. The home was spotless and very well stocked. Any time we needed something, it was easy to find. The cocoa bar was such a fun touch for winter—coming back in the evening, making hot cocoa, and warming up was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The pillows were very comfortable, the bedding was great, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Laura was a fantastic host. She was very communicative before, during, and after our stay and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and local spots. We were celebrating special occasions, and she helped with suggestions for a bakery and spa options, which made our trip even more memorable. We also loved the book in the kitchen. It’s like a complete guide to Big Bear, with restaurant menus, maps, local information, and house details. It made planning our days incredibly easy. The cribbage board was another unexpected bonus we enjoyed using in the evenings. Overall, this rental offered everything we hoped for and more: a perfect location, a clean and cozy home, thoughtful touches, and an outstanding host. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

Quick after New Year's Getaway

The property is what you expect from listing plus so much more. The location was prime, close to The Village as stated. The house was fully stocked with anything you might need. From extra blankets to batteries to spices you may have forgot to games and Blu- rays. Check-in was easy, Laura and Ken were great hosts who were very responsive when a minor issue came up with TV. They were very accomidating hosts and you can tell they want their guests to enjoy themselves. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Can't beat the location. A 2 minute walk to the heart of the village. Just off the corner of Village and Pine Knot. Amenities were a bit lacking, and televisions were small, but other than that, great place to stay. Very clean.

Lovely, clean, beautiful cabin!

This cabin was perfect for our visit to Big Bear Lake! We traveled with our two kids and two grandkids (4 & 2). Everything was exactly as described and the property was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, There are two bathrooms, both with bathtub/shower combinations. The living room is spacious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We especially loved spending time on the large front porch, enjoying the beautiful scenery and peace and quiet! The owner, Laura, was very easy to communicate with and made our trip worry free! The location of this property is exceptional! We were able to walk to the village in minutes. We enjoyed the restaurants, shops, and lake. Another trip to Big Bear would definitely include this property again. Thank you, Laura, for your hospitality!

Perfect location, updated, clean, full of Big Bear Charm

Our family of 5 with 3 teen boys and our fur baby loved our annual Big Bear trip this year. The Rustic Cove/The Bacon House, was just as pictured. Beautifully updated and decorated. This family home is rich with history which the family shares with the guests. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and had fluffy towels. The house is not huge but it is well laid out and our family found it was fine and worth the coziness in order to be so close to the town. You can see the lights of the lit up Christmas trees from the living room and it was so nice to be able to just walk to town which is about a block. We will definitely be back! Perfect Mountain Getaway

The home was very clean, nicely furnished, a very short walk to the Village, and stocked with nearly everything you could need! We needed a break from weeks of 115°+ weather in the desert and this was a perfect getaway. As with almost all mountain homes, there is no A/C, but there are fans in every room (plus extras in the cabinets) so with a little attention to closing drapes and windows at midday the house stayed very comfortable. Laura and Ken could not have been better hosts! We have already referred others to this gem, and we will definitely be back!

Las Vegans escaping the heat

Just a wonderful wonderful stay at the “Bacon house”. Celebrated my wife’s BD and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and the paddlewheel boat was such a plus. We would definitely stay again if Laura would have us! Can’t say enough positive things, future vacationers will NOT be disappointed!!

Great location and super clean

Really wonderful, cozy cabin for our family if 4. Quiet street a block from the main village. Cozy, modern cabin with comfy beds and good Wi-Fi.

Amazing!

This cabin was beautiful! The location was perfect for walking to the village. The check-in process went smoothly. Any issues or questions we had were handled right away. You will love this place.

Awesome!

This was our third year staying at the cabin for a winter weekend in Big Bear. We love this place. Close to the village and sledding. We will be back next year!
