- Bear Mtn.- Less than 1 Mile
- Snow Summit- 2.5 Miles
- Shuttle to Snow Summit/Bear Mtn.- .5 miles (walking distance)
- Big Bear Lake Village- 2 miles
Experience Summer with a touch of mountain hospitality.
4J`s cabin is an authentic Big Bear Cabin. It`s suitable for up to four guests looking for local flavor and mountain nature. The cabin is around 900 square feet so you`ll feel have plenty of space to unwind.
Here`s a few things our previous guests have said about 4 J`s cabin.
`Great brand new cabin. It has a good kitchen for cooking and plenty of space to enjoy a gathering. We spent a lot of time around the large grill on the back deck.` -Micheal, July 2018
`Great place to stay and really enjoyed its location and my visit. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be coming back.` - Matt, July 2018
The cabin is nestled between Big Bear Mountain (less than a mile) and the Big Bear Lake village (2 miles away). There`s a lot of adventure steps from the cabin. Take the shuttle bus at the end of our street to Bear Mountain and avoid traffic. Walk less than a blocks and experience the sights and sounds of the National Forest! There`s miles of trails to wear out the kids and the dog. Work on your swing at the golf course and range at the end of our street. Take the kids (big or little) to the zoo! Bears, foxes, wolves, mountain lions, owls, eagles, and more are about a ten minute walk! You won`t be left with nothing to do, unless of course you want to.
Here`s a few common questions and answers that will help you decide if 4 J`s cabin is a good fit for your mountain getaway.
Is 4 J`s Cabin a good place for children?
We`ve had several families stay with us and they`ve found the cabin to be great for children. There`s an entertaining space in the living room, and the guest bedroom is equipped with bunk beds! There is also a large deck and backyard that gives everyone space to enjoy themselves.
Can we cook at 4 J`s Cabin?
You`ll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you`re unsure about what we might have, ask us. The stove and oven has the ability to help you whip up a meal for 6 or a beautiful brunch. You`ll have no problem feeding the hungry bears.
We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.
Is the fireplace functional?
Oh yes! It`ll keep you warm on the coldest of nights. Grab some firewood from a local gas station or grocery store (you can find it just about anywhere), and enjoy an evening in front of the fire.
Should I bring linens or towels?
Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillow cases. Our linens will rival any hotel and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for the beds, and we ensure EVERY piece of bedding is washed before your visit. We`ll also provide plenty of towels for everyone.
What kind of experience can my pet expect?
We love dogs (check out our pics), and we understand how hard it can be to travel when you have to leave your furry friend at home or at a boarding facility. As far as activities are concerned we`d recommend you check out some of the hiking trails up the street from the cabin. They`re sure to tire out even the most athletic pups. We do not allow cats.
If you`re interested in booking, but haven`t quite made up your mind contact us for more information.
You`ll have access to the whole cabin, deck and backyard. The cabin is 912 square feet with about 200 square feet of back deck which are both sitting on a 4000 square foot lot.
We love to let our guests enjoy their stay and are always available. Send us a message if you have any questions about the cabin or Big Bear.
The cabin is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Big Bear. You`ll be right next to Bear Mountain, steps from the forest, a short drive to the village, and close the shuttle.
Hiking boots, bike, sneakers, shuttle or car will get you everywhere you`ll want to go.
