Very communicative which was nice. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. It could use some light maintenance here and there as it’s fairly old, but all the important things were clean, functional and comfortable.
This property is in a great central location in town. However, the cabin itself was in disrepair. The chain on the door was broken, there was broken tile in the kitchen, and we didn’t even use the hot tub because the paint was chipped all over and it didn’t seem safe or sanitary. Additionally, there were cobwebs in all the corners of the rooms. Worst of all there was a large red stain on the blanket that I can only assume was blood? Basically, I will rather sleep in my car than stay at this cabin again.
Tanya had the room heated up and check in was easy and didnt have to go into office. Great price great central location to enjoy all big bear has to offer.
Weather was great ,most of all the stores were closed, only because we went mon.-wed. The farmers market was great. The cabin was ok. We went to The Village movie theater, its alittle small but nice ,popcorn was great. Would I do it again maybe yes...differnt property would be my choice.

Smoke from fireplace was horrible. Had to open all the windows and turn on the heater. Could not shut the bathroom door all the way or it would stick and wouldn’t open. Jacuzzi tub took over an hour to fill up to the height of the jets. Maybe this room S09 is a problem and not the rest of the hotel. Room was cute and we had high hopes for our stay but things did not go well.
Such a cute cozy place however it’s a bit antique it needs some upgrades and fixtures. There was chipped paint in the bath tub and there was a strong smell of old in the house. The property is very close to everything in Big Bear. Overall it was a great stay!
Was so surprised and happy with the cabin. We were able to get away from the world for our tine there and relax. The cabin was spacious and clean. Will definitely stay here again next time i come up.
Bed was very uncomfortable. Room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned even though check in was very late. There was hair, dust, and dirt everywhere. Wifi was slow and spotty. Not worth the price.
Location was good, area is central but quiet.
House pictures differ from real-life pictures. Everything in the houses is so old and dirty, from the bedding to the blankets to the glassware. Rather than adding water to the soap dispenser, they could at least fill it with soap for this price.
This place was amazing, the staff is attentive and super helpful, super easy check in process. 10/10 would stay again. Super close to the village so that’s a plus, on site parking is always nice! The bed was a little stiff but everything about the Sleepy Forest Cottages was great
