Comfortable, basic property with nice backyard and sun porch

Property was very basic but nice. Quiet neighborhood. Had some issues with the locking mechanism on patio door but owner was responsive and offered to have someone come and fix it during our stay. Ice maker is quite loud and can be startling in the middle of the night when ice drops into bucket. We were also entertained by the sound of an animal (probably a lizard) jumping onto the roof and walking across it at night :)

Perfect

A wonderful, lovely, spotless, renovated home! We (family of 4) needed a place to stay for a week while visiting in-laws, and this was ideal. Roomy, great kitchen, super clean, quiet, and a nice private outdoor space to relax. Amanda was excellent with communication. We will be back. Thank you!

Better than imagined

This was our first time staying at a VRBO, and it was a great one. The owner was great at keeping in touch, and answering questions. The location was right off of a main road, making it easy to get places. We gave the location link to our family that lives nearby so they can recommend it to other people that come to visit.

Property not as described and in seedy area!

After a long drive we attempted to enter the property and while the code we were given unlocked the bolt the handle was locked. We repeatedly attempted to reach the host and finally were able to get help with a spare key. The yard was unkept and hammock was covered in mildew but worst of all the jacuzzi was half full freezing cold and filled with yard debris and branches. When we complained to the host she offered a $25 refund which I said was not sufficient. On the second day there a large police bust occurred at the adjacent hotel complex which is less than a block away and this involved at least 8 police cars and more than 20 people being led away in handcuffs. The worst part is that once the host did refund some of our money she unceremoniously kicked us out a day earlier than our 6 night stay while I was attending a work event in the middle of the day. I contacted her to discuss it but she was rude and abrupt saying you have to leave because I have another guest arriving. My poor husband who just had a shoulder operation for a compound fracture inside his shoulder joint is now at the property trying to load all our things into the car including our dog while I’m finishing my work event. What a horrible and inhumane way to treat a guest and what a poorly handled mess. We are property owners and investors in addition to working full time and we have never allowed our properties to be in such disrepair or thrown a guest out prematurely. Garbage property and garbage host!

Stacy S, I'm so sorry to hear you had a negative experience at my property. I take your feedback very seriously and are committed to providing a good experience for all my guests. I understand that you were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. I've checked with our cleaning service and the property was cleaned prior to your arrival as it is with all guest arrivals. As for the property location, the property is located in a safe area and the property is secured, our focus is on providing a safe haven for all guests so they can enjoy the time away. I apologize for the problem with the lock, the bottom lock was accidently locked by the housekeeping crew after cleaning for your arrival, but we leave a key in a lockbox so they you can still open the door and have access to the property, as for a delayed response to your phone call, Yes with a having a newborn my phone was on DND but I returned your call within 5 mins. It was disappointing to learn that the hot tub stopped working, we had 2 different repair people come out to attempt to fix it during your stay but after reviewing what was wrong it is something that can’t be repaired. I offered you a partial refund for your stay of $300.00, for the inconvenience. As for the issue with the nearby hotel, sadly we have no control over a disturbance that takes place at a nearby property. Reviewing VRBO rules I have listed what can be referenced to for all guests: • Check-in time: Guests should respect their Host’s check-in window and should not check in before or after the designated window without prior approval from the Host. • Checkout time: Guests should complete checkout, including key return, by the designated checkout time indicated on the VRBO reservation, and should not leave belongings at the listing past the designated checkout time for storage or later pickup without prior approval from the Host. Addressing your issue with being told to leave early. That is incorrect Your stay was for 6 nights, starting on Saturday November 11-November 17th..Stacy, You didn’t check in until Sunday November12th with no communication to me so I go by the dates that you originally booked, When check out time arrived on November the 17th your departure was past our check out time which is 10am and I called to let you know our cleaners had to come in and start cleaning because we had another guest checking in at 4pm. Again there was no communication from you or any requests made for a later departure time on the 17th of November. Our goal is to provide a 5 Star stay for all of our guests. We are sorry that our location wasn't conducive for you. We have received 5 Star reviews from our guests as hosts and provide a clean , safe environment for all of our guests.

Beautiful Property

The house was exactly as pictured and spotless. Backyard was bigger than i expected and fenced all the way around. There were many amenities included. I had minor glitches in beginning but owner responded almost immediately and property manager came right over, he was very nice and fixed right away within half hour everything was perfect. The neighborhood is very nice and property is close to restaurants, stores, beaches and activities. Love exploring at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center!

Great property

Updated, well appointed, very clean property. AC system could use an update but overall great place, we will be back.
