Without doubt the worst nights sleep ive had in decades. If i wanted to listen to angry drunken fools ranting all night(literally gone midnight....and then the car revving) about asylum seekers and how their life is so rubbish because of them id have spent the night im the local wetherspoons. Turns out my room was above smokers corner! Annoyingly this hotel could be so much more than a locals drinking establishment as the restaurant looks lovely! The staff were lovely and the actual room was ok although you do need binoculars to watch the small tv at the far end of the room

Parking was limited especially when hosting events. Room was very noisy due to party nights until midnight. Probably had worst room as there was a gap in the windows which needed replacing and we were right above the smoking area where people congregated. We couldn't have dinner there as they weren't serving after 5pm due to party nights. Couldn't fault the staff or breakfast but unfortunately wouldn't stay again as worried about getting a parking space.

The room was lovely, staff was excellent, everything nice and clean. About the only negative I can say is the getting to the room can be a challenge. There are lots of stairs and narrow hallways. Some of the doors are old and short, I bumped my head a couple of times. But this is an old English building and was to be expected! Just know in advance if you are older and have heavy bags.
