This sunny gem of a condo is just steps across the stream from the Quicksilver Lift at the base of Peak 9 and offers sweeping mountain views; You’re also just a short walk to Breckenridge’s historic Main Street. And, guests enjoy seasonal access to the Columbine outdoor heated pool and hot tub area across the street! You, your family and friend will love it, winter or summer!

This 3-bedroom + loft, 3.5-bathroom penthouse condo is a perfect mountain getaway for large families or groups of up to 9 people. The living room is outfitted perfectly with leather sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a gas fireplace that adds to the welcoming ambiance of the room. The large, fully equipped kitchen is located right next to the dining room, which overlooks the slopes. There is seating for up to eight people at the dining table and room for three more at the breakfast bar.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, an in-unit washer/dryer, garage parking for one car and additional lot parking for another car. Plus, every Summit Mountain Rentals property comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and is professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival. Unfortunately, the condo at Powderhorn was a major letdown. From the start, service was poor and unresponsive. Despite multiple requests, critical repairs were never completed during our stay. The management company repeatedly requested we try and troubleshoot issues, which consistently interrupted our skiing plans. The unexpected issues included no hot water in some bathrooms and kitchen sink, as a result our group had to use the community pool/spa showers across the street to shower. The clothes dryer didn’t work and we had to hang dry clothes/towels. Management acknowledged the problems but failed to fix them or offer meaningful solutions. Paying premium prices for accommodations without hot water, working shower, or basic appliances is simply unreasonable. I would not recommend this property or any property using Summit Mountain Rentals for management.

Powderhorn is one of our favorite places to stay. Our family loves the location, the proximity to downtown Breckenridge and also the river. We have stayed at bigger and nicer places in Breck, but always seem to come back to Powderhorn. Some of the things we liked inside the condo was the well stocked kitchen. Probably stocked better than any kitchen we've had before. The ice maker in the refrigerator didn't work very well, but it worked good enough and we had ice cube trays.The layout of the bedrooms was great. We had 3 of our grandsons with us who stayed upstairs in the loft. They loved having their own space. It was nice having the master suite, avoiding more stairs!The elevator was appreciated, as was the underground parking. We did have some maintenance issues, but the lodging company was very quick to come take care of those. I also forgot my iPad and they were quick to get it returned to me.We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Awesome location!

This property is exactly as advertised. Very clean and well stocked with everything you will need. Plenty of starter kits that will actually last for your entire stay. Great location as it is close to Peak 9 slopes and the town of Breckenridge. You can walk everywhere. We used the 4 hot tubs and the pool in April and they were nice and warm this time of year. Also, the garage is a plus for when it snows. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family and will stay there again.

The rental fit 2 families comfortably. It is conveniently located to downtown and the Quick Silver lift which made skiing and ski school very easy. Four bathrooms but only two showers.

Great location, clean and well-stocked

The location can’t be beat, with a quick walk to the Quicksilver and the Maggie, as well as a short walk to Main St. Beautiful views from the great room and dining area! This unit is very clean with comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well-stocked and even has a large crock pot. Plenty of silverware and plates. The knives could be sharper and a couple of the fry pans are a little worn. The grill on the balcony worked well. The fan on the fireplace was a little noisy when running. The description lists 3 showers, but there are really just 2 traditional showers, with a shower attachment on the soaking tub. There were 3 full-sized working humidifiers. We were a party of 7 guys, and this place had plenty of space and beds. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the views , the very short walk to the lift, and short walk to town. The condo was very clean, the kitchen was very well equipped for our large group. Loved the soaking tub upstairs with incredible views and TV. The short walk to the hot tub was not bad at all. I think we had to have some of the best views of the mountains in all the area.

We came to town for Octoberfest. Our son had a food stand at the event and we extended our stay a couple days from the weekend. While we spent most of the time touring and hiking, the condo was a perfect resting place. Clean, beautiful scenery, safe and very accommodating for the six of us. Responses to questions right away.
