Free breakfast is served daily. WiFi is free in public spaces. A terrace, barbecue grills, and a garden are also featured at the business-friendly Balmoral Queenslander. Free self parking is available.
This is a beautifully renovated Queenslander house. All amentities provided in wonderful furnishings. Hospitality faultless. Location easy to access city, river, shopping. Quiet and peaceful area in lovely tree lined avenue. Very enjoyable stay.
A quiet residential location, and a 20 minute walk to Bulimba and Hawthorne ferry terminals. Good food and cafes nearby, and a nearby Woolworths. Room was well maintained and clean, enjoyed our 3 day stay here. Brian was most friendly and helpful too!
This is a great guest house, the owner is friendly available and also let's you enjoy a sheltered safe space to enjoy your stay in a suburb of Brisbane. The parking is variable as in front of the house and the street is either empty or very busy but the room we were in at the back was very quiet in regards traffic.
The ferry is walkable and the bus stops outside the house for the city centre this was a great location for us and would stay there again.
A great place. Highly recommend it. Only one issue. They advertise laundry available which it is but they want you to do it before 4 pm. How is that possible. Im on vacation doing things not setting at the house during the day.
Waschmaschine und Trockner perfekt. Hausbesitzer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die BettwÀsche hatte einen eigenen Geruch. Sonst genial. Zu Fuà oder dem Boot alles erreichbar.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Brian was very helpful showing us a map of the best places to eat nearby and leaving us some Travel Go cards to get into the city on the boat.
The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.
Some good restaurants nearby and the ferry station was only about a 20/25 minute walk away.
There are plenty of breakfast options in the shared kitchen (this is shared with other guests). Cereals, bread, juice, yoghurt and fruits were available each morning.
Lovely spacious accommodation with a beautiful garden. Huge bathroom with an excellent shower. Top location close to both Bulimba and Hawthorne cafes and restaurants. Brian was very welcoming and helpful.
Brian greeted us on arrival and went through the local attractions followed by inductions to the kitchen and room.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Cheers
Brian is a very friendly host and the property is outstanding. Very easy walking distance to both Hawthorne and Bulimba for the ferries and cafes and safe parking out front. I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it anyone visiting Brisbane.
Beautifully Kept. Our host was friendly and helpful. It's in a great area with Oxford St, Orchard Road shops and a nice walk down to the river and Sea cats. :)
This is a very nicely presented property. For a one night stay it maybe fine for some but for longer stays, like ours, we found the property lacking. Big issue was there are no windows, just doors and without screens, flies or mosquitoes can come in. The bathroom has a very small window and no screen which doesnât provide any ventilation to the master room. A ceiling fan would help. Since the room we had faces the street, one canât leave the doors open for security reasons if nothing else and we tried it but the mosquitos were having a feast and to sleep you have to close them anyway. Canât hear the TV with the doors open. The street noise is an issue as this is on a main drag. The cooler temperatures this time of year one needs to hang towels out to dry. No facility to do that. The line outside always had sheets or something on the line so we couldnât air/dry our towel out there. The very small towel rack in the bathroom couldnât fit one of the towels, let alone two. A drying rack for the guests would be good. The self serve/clean up continental breakfast was okay, but âthe everyone can dip into the jams with butter on their knivesâ is not for me. Individual packaging would be more appropriate in these times. Our hosts were very nice and Iâm sure they would have tried to make us more comfortable but these things require more time than we had there if they were considering making any improvements.
