Needs modernising

The Hotel is in a very good and central location for the beach, shops and restaurants, however if you are there on business forget it as the internet access is terrible. It is a rural oasis in the city, which unfortunately means cockroaches and ants in the rooms. The rooms are "rustic" which means super basic and old fixtures and fittings.

Great stay! Amazing breakfast and peaceful pool and excellent location! There is a lot is construction through the day which is pretty noisy, is the only downside. I would definitely stay again!

Overall a lovely pousada but unfortunately when we upgraded our room to one with a view, there was no view and we were told this was for a room in the next category up. However hotels.com showed an image of the supposed view in the room images.

Really cute rooms at this location. View from the ocean view rooms is beautiful however, there is a club on the other side that is very noisy and played music until very late which made it difficult to sleep. The windows are not sealed which makes the sound worse and lets bugs in. The location is right next to everything (restaurants, shops, beach, etc.) so you don't have to venture too far if you don not want to. Close to the bus stop if you take a bus there. One thing to note is that if you have any mobility issues this is not a place to stay as there are LOTS of steps you have to climb to even get to where you check in and the LOTS of additional steps to get up to the rooms.

The location is perfect and the breakfast is amazing with fresh juices, fruits, cakes, cheeses and bread. Vila do Mar needs to do some renovations in the rooms, the bathroom looks dirty and the white walls in the bedroom needs new paiting. Also, the pousada did not supply shampoo, which is pretty basic for a beach hotel and the TV is outdated. The staff was friendly and helpful anytime I needed them.

Sweet little hideaway

I loved that the hotel was close to Rua da Pedras. It's quiet and tucked away on a hill with lots of trees and plants. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Final de semana relaxante!

Localização excelente, café da manhã com uma proposta muito interessante, não tem desperdício mas vc come o que quiser. Tudo muito gostoso. A suíte que eu fiquei foi muito boa, porém o acesso por escada. Fiquei logo nas primeiras , ainda bem. O restaurante que atende ao hotel é muito bom, comida deliciosa.
