Across the lane from the beach in Playa Grande’s luxurious Palm Beach Estates, this three bedroom home and casita is nestled on a large landscaped lot with a pool in front and the nature reserve at the back. There is a rooftop covered treehouse patio above the garage. If you are lucky, you'll see Howler monkeys from there or as you return from taking in the sunset on the secluded beach - and several of Guanacaste’s finest restaurants and up-scale bars are only blocks away.

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, as well as a semi-attached casita with complete bedroom/bath. Bedrooms come with the following sleeping arrangements:

Master Bedroom: King bed - master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (also has entrance from hallway)

Secondary Bedroom: Queen bed - ensuite indoor / outdoor bathroom

Third Bedroom: Queen bed & single built in bunk bed

Semi-detached Suite - queen bed & day bed with ensuite small bathroom

NEWLY renovated kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, including large double door fridge, dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, blender, coffee maker and all of the basics to cook.

A/C units in all indoor living areas of the house.

The spacious tiled and fully screened front patio has double ceiling fans and a large built-in gas grill. Other amenities include laundry room, and a second story terrace with hammocks and sitting area. Everything you need! Comfortably sleeps eight (with beds for up to eleven).

Casa Kalumina has some safety features to keep the house locked up tightly, including a roll down metal screen. We recommend keeping this down when leaving the property and at night.

Did we forget to mention how close we are to the beach? We are located between the estuary and the beach, and it is a block walk to the beach entrance. It is actually across the street but due to other developments, you have to walk down about 100 meters and you are at the access. There is even a water taxi service to Tamarindo from Central America’s largest mangrove estuary three hundred yards away. Kalumina…the perfect place to stay!
