About this property

Clubhouse, La Botte (The Barrel Cabin), Il Rifugio (The Retreat)

Bosco del Campaccio Retreat & Events is the estate of Sara and Mauro, extending across more than 50,000 square metres of meadows and woodland. Over the years, the land has been restored and enhanced through an agroforestry project dedicated to Lombardy’s native species, including chestnut, hornbeam, oak, hazel, elder and ferns.

The paths and ancient dry-stone walls have been brought back to life through natural engineering techniques and the reuse of materials provided by the forest itself, such as fallen or diseased trees, in a process inspired by sustainability. The original buildings, old rural stone structures, have been carefully restored while respecting their traditional architecture and preserving as many historical elements as possible, favouring noble materials such as wood, stone and iron.

At the heart of the estate lies the Clubhouse, created from the restoration of an early twentieth-century farmhouse nestled among chestnut trees that once supported the economy of this small rural village. Renovated using reclaimed materials, it retains an authentic character, from the more than two-hundred-year-old wooden beams sourced from a mountain hut in Valtellina to its carefully selected furnishings.

The house is spread over three levels. On the ground floor, a spacious living room with an open-plan kitchen and a marble table seating twenty guests invites convivial moments. The spaces are completed by a 1970s bar designed by Willy Rizzo and a veranda with sofas and a piano. On the first floor are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and woodland views: a master suite and a more intimate room.

Outside, a large covered patio opens onto the mountains and forest, ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation, while a fire pit creates a magical atmosphere in the evenings. A path finally leads to the swimming pool, immersed in nature.

The Clubhouse is a place designed to share time, slow down and experience the forest in perfect balance between comfort, authenticity and respect for the landscape.

Just a few steps from the Clubhouse, La Botte is a small woodland retreat distinguished by its round shape and warm, authentic atmosphere.

Built entirely from reclaimed materials, it features a lofted double bed and two single beds below, making it ideal for couples, friends or small families.

The wooden bathtub, positioned near the sleeping area and in front of the stove, creates a unique and evocative setting, while the private bathroom with an emotional shower completes the experience.

The windows at both ends open directly onto the trees, allowing complete immersion in nature.

Intimate and cosy, it is the perfect retreat for those seeking tranquillity and a genuine connection with the forest.

Warm and authentic, “Il Rifugio” preserves the charm of traditional mountain dwellings. On the lower level lies the ancient vaulted cellar, once used for cheese storage and now transformed into an atmospheric wine cellar.

The interiors include a double bedroom overlooking a small living room with a sofa bed and wood-burning stove, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The private bathroom, featuring a large window facing the forest, completes the immersive nature experience.

Quiet and intimate, it is the ideal place for those seeking an authentic stay, where history and simplicity come together.
