Agriturismo Il Poggio delle Favole – In the Marche, near Cagli and Frontone

This authentic retreat in the Marche region is just 3 km from Cagli and minutes from Frontone Castle—perfect for exploring the Frasassi Caves, UNESCO-listed Urbino, the Furlo Gorge, and the medieval villages of the valley.



The farmhouse dates back to the 19th century: the owner’s great-grandfather raised cattle here, and the original restored mangers are still visible, silent witnesses to a genuine family history passed down through generations.



The working farm features colorful egg-laying hens, beehives for artisanal honey, lavender, saffron, olive trees, and seasonal vegetables. We produce lavender water and essential oil; saffron is hand-harvested. Guests can purchase fresh eggs, honey, lavender water and oil, and seasonal vegetables.



Nearby: CAI trails, the Fontanone del Faeto, and Santo Stefano church overlooking Frontone Castle. In summer, swim in the Bosso and Burano rivers or at Frontone’s public pool. Local events: Cagli’s Pipe Festival and Distinti Salumi in May, Palio dell’Oca medieval parade in August, and Truffle Festival in autumn.
