Relaxing stay in cottage

Great property to get away and properly relax. Little shop at top of steep hill was perfect to get essentials to make your own or have drinks by the cottage. Drinks/ food limited otherwise by pool and need to be requested at reception. The adjoining restaurant was fantastic so highly recommend booking. There was wine tasting available on certain days but didn’t suit or travel plans. Their Madeira wine was delicious. Great location to branch out to different areas around this side of island.

A quaint historical farmhouse type property situated in a vineyard, with great views of the sea. Recommended friendly restaurant and breakfast, offering top quality local produce. Car is essential for exploration of area, especially the amazing levada and mountain walks. Easily accessible on the main road, (except a slightly tricky steep entrance, that is not too obvious) A unique and relaxing stay in village setting away from the tourist bustle of Madeira.

Fabulous Quinta above Calheta

Beautifully restored farmhouse set amid vines Rooms are quite bare but immaculate. Bathrooms are spotless with fabulous showers Meals are available around a large communal table There is a small pool for those sunny days in the hills
