Head Harbour Lightstation’s foghorn calls out steadily, not every few minutes, but almost every minute, a deep, reassuring voice echoing across the water. It becomes part of the rhythm of the morning, a guardian’s heartbeat. One of our guests, here for a long 16‑day stay, smiled and said, “I just love that foghorn,” after listening to it through the night. It’s a sound people remember long after they leave.

The beach is connected to the property, offering a clean, beautiful shoreline in its own quiet cove. Watch bald eagles soar overhead, spot deer wandering by, and enjoy the fresh sea breeze from morning to night.

Sit by the outdoor firepit in the cool of the evening, sip coffee, tea, or wine, and let the quiet settle around you. Try counting the stars, you’ll lose track quickly.

Guests arriving from mainland Canada through the USA can shop before crossing onto Campobello. Planning your menu ahead of time helps ensure you only purchase what you need.

Island Quiet & Natural Beauty...

Campobello Island has no road connection to the rest of Canada and can only be reached by ferry or through the US border at Lubec, Maine. This makes the Island wonderfully secluded from city noise, no fire trucks, ambulances, police sirens, or heavy traffic.

It’s the perfect place for relaxing, bird watching, long walks, and cozy romantic nights. You can laze on the beach, watch fishing boats sail by with their daily catch, go golfing, sightseeing, whale watching, or visit our two beautiful lighthouses. There’s plenty to do, or you can simply enjoy being lazy for a while.

TRAVEL NOTES...

If arriving by the East Coast Ferry from Deer Island, the last ferry to Campobello is 6:30 pm AST. Please be mindful of time differences, phones sometimes revert an hour back.
