holiday House "Poggio della Civetta"

Comfortable house recently renovated, with furniture typical of old Lucca’s farmhouses. The house is located on the nice Lucca’s hills, among olive trees. Guests can enjoy a wonderful view on the Lucca’s plain and city. The house has a private inground swimming pool with panoramic view (4x8) for its guests, with Roman steps. The swimming pool is also equipped with deckchairs and umbrellas, and next to it, with gazebo, table and chairs. The house is provided with a veranda with table and chairs facing the garden, where a walled-in barbecue is available.
The house is located 15 km far from Lucca, but famous Tuscany’s cities, mountains and Versilia’s beaches can also be rapidly reached. This house is perfect to spend a relaxing holiday, for hiking or mountain-bike on the hills, and to enjoy Tuscany’s food, wine and culture. The house is suitable for families, couples and children.

Very beautiful place to stay near Lucca

Amazing pool and garden in a Tuscan style house. A/C at extra charge, but we went during the canicule and the cost was only about 45 euros for a 7-night stay to cool the second floor where the bedrooms were. Giacomo, Nicola and their parents where extremely welcoming and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need, and we cooked pizza in the garden pizza oven twice during our stay! Nice scenery of olive groves and vines, and of the valley down below. Giacomo shared a bottle of his own wine production and olive oil, it was a really nice attention! Bring extra hygiene products ( washing machine soap/dishwasher tablets/toilet papier) as there are a few, but not sufficient for the total length of stay. Overall, I highly recommend this place, we were 6 (4 adults + 2 children), and we had a fabulous time there!

Birthday holiday in a quaint villa

The property was a little tricky to find as it is off the main roads and down a windy, narrow gravel path. It's about a 30 minute drive to Lucca. The private pool is lovely, and all the flowers and succulents are beautiful. Giacomo and Jessica were very responsive when we had questions, and it was wonderful that they let us check in early.Pool towels are provided, but only one bath towel is given per guest for the entire week/stay. Guests should note that hand soap, toilet paper, laundry soap, and other basic items are not provided. You will need to purchase them locally or bring your own. The neighbors in the connected building were rather disruptive (loud conversations at 100 am, their dogs barking during the night). There is an AC unit up and downstairs, and you pay per usage. If you go in peak summer, it will not keep the villa cool so be prepared for very warm days and evenings or pack a fan.Overall, a secluded retreat with a beautiful view and nice pool.

Even better than the photos

This property was a WOW!! right from the moment we drove up to the gates. The peacefulness was what we were after and thats exactly what we got. The photos dont do the view justice and the changes with the light give you something new to see throughout the day and evening.Jessica and Giacomo were the warmest and kindest hosts. Accomodating everything we needed and even things we didnt even know we needed! A beautiful traditional Tuscan home and beautifully kept gardens and pool made for perfect lazy relaxing days in the Tuscan sun.

Ein großartiger Aufenthalt in der Toskana!

Wir sind als vierköpfige Familie mit dem Auto angereist und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das auf einem großen GrundstĂŒck gelegene Haus ist einfach traumhaft, der Garten wunderschön, alles ist von Olivenhainen umgeben. Vom GrundstĂŒck aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf die Tiefebene. Das i-TĂŒpfelchen auf den Urlaub setzt dann der große Pool, toll gelegen etwas oberhalb des Hauses, zusammen mit einer weiteren schönen Terrasse, auf der wir gerne Zeit verbracht haben. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist geschmackvoll und gemĂŒtlich, alles was man braucht ist vorhanden, alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Im Endeffekt kann man sich bereits beim Ferienhaus eine tolle Zeit machen, aber natĂŒrlich bieten sich AusflĂŒge zu den bekannten SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten der Toskana an. Die Stadt Lucca ist von hier aus gerade mal 20 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, stets erreichbar, alles perfekt. Wir werden jederzeit gerne erneut in das Ferienhaus zurĂŒckkommen, sobald es wieder in die Toskana geht. Wir geben sechs von fĂŒnf Sternen!

Unseren Aufenthalt konnten wir hier einfach nur genießen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Giacomo und Jessica empfangen. Die Kommunikation war völlig unproblematisch. Die Aussicht und die Lage der Unterkunft ist kaum zu toppen. Zur BegrĂŒĂŸung haben wir Wein und eine Flasche Olivenöl bekommen. Beides hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und wir haben uns sehr darĂŒber gefreut. Wir wĂŒrden hier jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen. Vielen Dank nochmal fĂŒr alles. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Sehr ruhige Lage. Toller Ausblick. Pool war genau richtig. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und schön toskanisch eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit Giacomo lief super ĂŒber WhatsApp. Wir haben gleich fĂŒr das nĂ€chste Jahr wieder gebucht.

Der perfekte Familienurlaub

PERFEKT!! FĂŒr einen Familienurlaub in der Toskana das perfekte Domizil. Das Haus und die Anlage sind 1000 % sauber und akurat gepflegt. Die bequemen Schlafzimmer mit Tageslichtbad und großer Dusche liegen oben. Unten ist die KĂŒche und ein zweites großes Badezimmer, was bei 4 Personen echt hilft. KĂŒche mit KĂŒhlschrank und ausreichendem Gefrierfach zum Bevorraten. Der Außenbereich ist ĂŒberragend. Direkt vor dem Haus ist eine schöne Terrasse mit Sitzecke, wo wir am Abend lange gesessen haben. Der Pool liegt leicht oberhalb und bietet eine sensationelle Aussicht ĂŒber das Tal umgeben von einer weitlĂ€ufigen Olivenbaumplantage. Der Pool selbst ist herrlich groß und top gepflegt. Er wird tĂ€glich frĂŒh morgens fĂŒr die GĂ€ste unbemerkt gesĂ€ubert. Dort ist auch eine schöne ĂŒberdachte Sitzecke fĂŒr die Schattenpausen. Durch die WeitlĂ€ufigkeit der Anlage gibt es generell fĂŒr jeden genug RĂŒckzugsorte in Sonne und Schatten. Die Anfahrt zum Haus erfolgt ĂŒber einen unbefestigten Weg bergab. Wir haben ihn mit dem Familienkombi gut bewĂ€ltigt. Giacomo und Jessica sind die perfekten Gastgeber. Giacomo ist jederzeit ĂŒber WhatsApp zu erreichen fĂŒr Fragen zum Haus oder der Umgebung. Man kann sich super mit ihm in Englisch unterhalten. Jessica, seine Partnerin, hat uns super herzlich empfangen und das Haus erklĂ€rt. Ansonsten sind die Beiden nicht persönlich in Erscheinung getreten was wir Ă€ußerst angenehm empfanden da wir im Urlaub unter uns bleiben. Danke fĂŒr den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Danke!!

wonderful Tuscany villa vacation

we had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful villa Poggio della Civetta, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa itself was stunning, with a breathtaking view of the rolling hills and vineyards that Tuscany is famous for. The scenery was nothing short of magical, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, offering helpful tips on local attractions and even sharing some of their delicious homemade wine and olive oil with us. Both were absolutely divine and added a special touch to our stay. The only minor downside was the road leading to the villa. It was unpaved and quite narrow, which made the journey a bit challenging at dark times, especially for larger vehicles (pegeot 308 sw). Overall, our stay at the Tuscany villa was a dream come true. The combination of the beautiful location, warm hospitality, and delicious local products made it a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Tuscany. Just be prepared for a bit of an adventure on the way in!

Lovely rural spot

Giacomo was a great host - got in contact early and remained available whenever required. The house was lovely and quiet (although a v noisy and enthusiastic dog owners as sadly staying next door which made us get up a little earlier than expected some mornings) with the most amazing views. The house had everything we needed, although I think the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms (although it is in the upstairs hall and living room) might make it pretty hot in high summer. We loved it as the location was excellent - close enough to make Lucca only a 15!minute drive but also close to the lovely Montecarlo, Pescia (for the supermarket) and stations to get to Florence and elsewhere. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

Traumurlaub

Wir haben hier einen traumhaften Urlaub verbracht. Das Haus, der Garten und vor allem der große Pool lassen keine WĂŒnsche offen. Giacomo und Jessica sind tolle Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefĂŒhlt und kommen gerne wieder. Ein großer Dank an Giacomo fĂŒr die gute Kommunikation und den grandiosen Wein und das leckere Olivenöl.

Wow - Paradise in the hills

The photos and description of this villa do not do it justice. The location of this villa, just a few km from Pescia is set in the Tuscan countryside with amazing views. The villa is beautiful and very spacious and is kitted out beautifully with everything you will need. The grounds are lovely and the pool is in a great location with again amazing views. The owner met us on arrival and gave us a tour and was able to answer our immediate questions. Once there we received a WhatsApp every couple of days checking that everything was OK and Giocomo was able to answer any queries we had. We know he also attended daily and cleaned the pool but this was done before we got up and it was vey unobtrusive. Highly recommend this villa for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in the heart of Tuscany - with Pisa and Florence both under 1 hour away.

Heerlijk verblijf in de Toscaanse heuvels

We hadden een fantastisch verblijf: het huis is tip-top in orde, goed uitgerust, ruim. Prachtig gelegen op een heuvel, nabij vele mooie stadjes (Collodi, Montecarlo, Pistoia en uiteraard Lucca en Pisa). Ook een uitstapje naar de zee en Firenze zijn perfect mogelijk. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars, die vlot bereikbaar zijn bij vragen en heel behulpzaam. Zelf pizza's bakken in de houtoven met de tips van Giacomo was een hoogtepunt van onze vakantie. We keren graag nog eens terug.

Very nice stay

We stayed in the beautiful house for two weeks and particularly enjoyed the great view and the peace and quiet in the otherwise often turbulent Tuscany. Giacomo and his family gave us a warm welcome and were always available to answer any questions we had. The property is highly recommended for families, especially the pool was a lot of fun for the kids. Many thanks for a great stay.
