Only 5 mins walk to Cardiff Castle. Ideally situated for shopping. Four flights of stairs up to reception lobby though so you need to be fit. Staff were polite and helpful. Glad of the aircon on a baking hot day.

Alarmed by all the busy pubs adjacent and expected to be struggling to sleep with all the noise below travelling up. Not a bit of it. Whisked up to Reception on second floor in a lot once in the building and then we had a room up top where we slept quietly very comfortably. Breakfast buffet was ample but could have been hotter. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Decor a little dated but room was spacious with good views out and it was clean and welcoming after a long day. Would be happy to recommend and to return.

Good Hotel for Central Cardiff

This hotel is very centrally located in Cardiff. It's in a historic building, but the interiors have been recently renovated. It's good value for money. The breakfast was good.

Two of us stayed in the "Friendly room". It was very clean, comfortable bed and had a bath, which is a bonus these days. It could benefit from a small table on the right side of the bed, with a lamp for reading, but that apart, was all we needed for our stay.
