Very comfortable and clean

Clean room, quiet, food near by and easy to find. My only complaint is the gal at the front desk with the really really red hair completely cut me off when I was trying to speak to her. Super rude move. The breakfast was really good.

The window unit made a loud noise every time it will turn off. The carpet had a bad smell. The room had a bad order in general.

No pillows

We broke down in Carlsbad, so this is why we had to spend the night. We had four (4) adults and two (2) children in our party. The kiddos were going to sleep on the pull out couch. ISSUES: 1) There were no pillows available for the pull out couch and the front desk was not helpful at all…I even requested that they get a couple of pillows form an empty room and was told she could not do that. There was no manager on duty, nor able to be reached by phone. We did call corporate. We ended up getting a couple of pillows from another hotel guest that heard our situation and graciously let us use their extras. 2) When we opened the pull out…the mattress was terrible and unable to be slept on, so we had to walk next door and buy an air mattress from Walmart. 3) The floor lamp was very rickety and barely standing up. 4) One of the queen size beds squeaked terrible with any movement. 5) The shampoo & Conditioner containers were broken off the wall and empty. 6) All of the milk out for breakfast was expired.

It was close to the train tracks and major main road through town so was noisy. Staff nice and friendly. Nice breakfast options as well.
