Charming Casita on a quiet western Ranch in a Cave Creek neighborhood.

Enjoy true desert vistas in the foothills of Cave Creek and Carefree. Get ready to relax in this 1-bedroom cottage attached to a horse barn at a private ranch called Red Rock Roping. Just a short 3 mile drive to the town of Cave Creek and Carefree restaurants, bars and shopping but far enough to enjoy a quiet and peaceful scenery of mountains, sunsets and sunrises. Don’t forget to kick your feet up, and end your night to enjoy a wide open view of the stars! Also, keep your eyes open for desert critters such as rattlesnakes, tarantulas, scorpions, deer, road runners, bob cats, and coyotes. We ask please do not pet, catch, feed or leave any food out that will attract them. Enjoy them from a picture away :) Our 2 accessible acres will give you 360 view of mountains, our Red Rock Roping arena, and a Saloon to gather under to enjoy cool refreshments, and a meal with your friends/family. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if you’re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800’ climb on a gravel road/trails to “Mexican Hat” for an even more incredible view! Grab some quick delicious breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too! We have two turnout pens for horses and an RV parking spot if you want to have a friend come visit (for more information and booking visit: https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/arizona-red-rock-roping-llc-r57h9j5d). This delightful property features a cozy queen bed, WiFi, and a convenient community laundry area. Experience what Cave Creek has to offer with a stay at our southwestern casita. ***PLEASE USE the "Red Rock Roping" entrance to get to the Casita. It is the driveway (80th St) on your left after the arena. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER the property that says "Rocking Lazy H" Thank you :) ***

Great staycation!

I live in Northeast Phoenix, and wanted a getaway for my wedding anniversary but didn’t want to have to drive too far and deal with traffic. This place was the perfect place to feel like I was “on vacation” but without the hassle! We stayed in the Cave Creek/Carefree area and ate at the local restaurants, shopped, and did a short hike at Spur Cross Conservation. Perfect weather and perfect weekend! Thank you for the close getaway with a vacation vibe!

Cave Creek/Care Free Peace

Quiet, bucolic setting among open space and horses. I stayed there while in town for the BWR bike race and really enjoyed the peacefulness and the comforts of home. Great setup, especially for a couple or solo traveler.

The Casita was exactly what I needed to get out of the city for a few days. Mel was so helpful with the whole process. I loved everything about the place! I really enjoyed watching Cuantro (hope I spelled that right) run around for a few minutes. Mighty Mouse was nice too but more mellow. I can't say enough good things!
