With a maximum occupancy of four to five persons, this cozy cabin ensures your comfort while maintaining environmental sustainability. Please be mindful that our well and septic system necessitates adherence to this limit (not connected to public services). Great DuPont home base

Awesome, very clean and nicely decorated cabin located so close to DuPont State Park. Loved our time in the cabin after busy days mountain biking in the area!

The home was beautiful and check/ check out went smoothly. I felt the pictures of the outside area were quite deceiving as the yard was very small. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Summer Heaven ( yes, I know )

The cottage was everything and more of what we remembered from a stay 7 years ago. The owner was kind enough to insure we could manipulate the driveway, bringing in sand and shoveling some ice. So thoughtful. Thanks, Melinda for sharing and caring. We'll be back!

Summer Haven Christmas Getaway

The most relaxing vacation ever

We all agree it was so peaceful we just didn't want to leave the porch. The house was beautifully decorated and well cared for and we thank you. Our biggest regret wea that we had to leave.

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I wanted a place close to Dupont National Forest to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. This was the perfect spot. Great location and so comfy & cozy. It was just us, so we closed off the other two bedrooms and just slept in the king room.The bed was amazing. After hiking and mountain biking all day, it was so comfortable, like sleeping at our own house. It was well stocked and very clean. We hope to bring our kids back and do another trip again soon. The owner was easy to reach and check in was easy. You do not have cell service, but having the land line to give out to our family worked great and WIFI was good enough so we could facetime out and still work a little from our laptops. It was a great location too. The Creekside Cafe just a few mins down the road was yummy for breakfast and dinner, and you are right across the street from the Dupont entrance. We will were able to hike and then go back home for lunch. We loved it! It was a much needed kid free weekend.

Beautiful, QUIET and perfect location! So quiet and peaceful to just sit and relax. Outdoorsy and want activity? 10 minutes away from several locations. Not too far from "city life" and shopping. House is immaculate with everything plus more.that you need. Will definitely want to come back! You won't go wrong here! Thanks for a lovely time!

Beautiful, quiet spot!

We loved the house and the surrounding neighborhood with the beautiful garden and Chapel next door. Sitting on the porches and enjoying the cool mountain air was so nice. House is clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is the perfect location for hiking in Dupont and Pisgah and exploring Cedar Mountain and Brevard. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Experience!!

We wanted to be close to be DuPont State forest for the Mountain Bike trails, and this property was the perfect location for us. Summer Haven has everything you need, so peaceful and relaxing. An awesome place to get away from your hectic life. We would love to visit again:)

Perfect Mountain Get-Away

My husband & I visited Summer Haven for a second time a few weeks ago & once again we were not disappointed. We love everything about about the place! The location is perfect - a short drive to several parks with lots of outdoor things to see and do. It's also just a few miles from Brevard, a quaint little mountain town with lots of shopping & plenty of great restaurants. There are also several golf courses within short driving distance. While the cabin is located just off "the beaten path", it's very secluded with no road noise & is surrounded by beautiful trees that you see from every window. The wrap-around deck is the perfect place for morning coffee. I can can't say enough about inside the cabin itself: It is spotless, has nice appliances, well-stocked, comfortable, beautifully decorated, I could go on and on...... We LOVE Summer Haven & can't wait to go back!

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Summer Haven! The cabin was tucked away in beautiful Cedar Mountain. We loved that it was private, quaint, exceptionally clean, dog friendly, and stocked with everything we needed to cook dinners at home each night. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous with several state parks within a few minutes drive. We are already looking forward to coming back!
