Romito Lodge Apartment Mountain Retreat, Cesana Torinese, Italy

A stylish, contemporary duplex within a picture-perfect stone and timber chalet, this apartment offers an idyllic base for an alpine holiday at any time of year. The apartment is on the hillside on the edge of the village of Mollieres surrounded by meadows. Guests will enjoy the peace and sheer beauty of the mountains.

The apartment sleeps 2 people and has been beautifully fitted out with everything guests might need. The open-plan living room has high, timbered ceilings and polished wooden floors. It is furnished with a sofa, armchair and a flat-screen TV. A glass door leads out onto a wooden balcony. A large skylight lights the back of the living area where there is a wooden dining table and a brand new fitted kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

Wooden stairs lead upstairs to the sleeping area.

Location
The charming hamlet of Mollieres is in the heart of stunning alpine countryside. It makes a tranquil retreat at any time of year.

For skiing in the winter months, the nearest ski lifts are at Cesana Torinese and for ski slopes, Sansicario Alto is just 10 minutes away.

Sestriere (20 minutes), which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, has a lot to offer throughout the year. In the winter months, there is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing. There is even an outdoor heated swimming pool which is open in the winter and summer seasons.

Summer visitors can go hiking through the forests and alpine meadows. There are numerous tracks for mountain biking at all levels, as well as tennis, golf and swimming. The Chaberton Adventure Park (3 minutes) makes an exciting day out. The area also hosts many festivals and events for all ages, including environmental initiatives and cultural evenings.

Turin airport is a 1 hour and 25 minutes drive from the apartment.
