"This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Oberammergau. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast excellent and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed here in 2023 and again this past July in 2025. The hotel is conveniently located in Oberammergau and is an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. If we ever return to Oberammergau we would definitely stay here again. "

"Overall, Alte Postvilla is a wonderful place to stay. It's directly across from the train and bus stop, as well as the grocery and convenience stores. It's only about a 10-15 walk to restaurants and the local alpine coaster. The rooms were clean, updated, and our views of the mountain were gorgeous. The only hiccup we had was that some of our bookings were disrupted due to water damage in some of the rooms. Our group had 3 separate apartment bookings that we were asked to condense into 2 apartment bookings for our group of 12. We made it work although it wasn't ideal. In the end, it all worked out and I would stay at this location again. "

"Stunning hotel, breathtaking views, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, super modernist design, great breakfast. The showers, however, were somewhat interesting - it was a bit challenging to showers with two teenagers in the room. I would however come back. We loved the hotel. "
