Single no frills overnight stop.

Overnight stop on the way home. Booked a cheap, basic, no frills accommodation and that is exactly what we got. Tiny room, very thin mattress. The auto’ check in system failed and we had to go away and come back 2 hours later when someone was available to help sort out the issue.

Arrived into this hotel after booking 2 months before and paid my stay no one in reception the code given to me by email didn't work as the hotel system says hotel fully booked, so my room was double sold Me and my family arrived from a long journey to sleep on a petrol station with a room paid for a deserved rest The contact number on the door didn't work, no one wanser and my booking wasn't available Not a good service for sure Not again, still haven't any contact or reimbursement from this group, neither a explanation Not again, 3 people have to sleep on a car after 14 hours driving Shameless

Good value no frills overnight stay. No hot water in the evening but was working next morning.

Good overnight stop with excellent breakfast. Bathroom noise from other rooms quite loud especially overnight. Alarm went off in night .Eventually stopped and so presumed a false alarm but no explanation or apology for disturbance. Other inconsiderate with slamming doors at all hours.

Exceedingly Budget hotel.

We only stayed because of the convenient location. The rooms are in need of updating, especially the bathroom. The shower was practically impossible to use. Taps not fitted to the wall properly. Dirt/mould. Also can clearly hear noise from other rooms and the corridor.

Excellent service but hotel needs improving.

Excellent location for exploring Chateaudun and excellent service but the hotel could be improved. The bed was too close to the wall on one side making it very difficult to get up that side, also the the TV should be updated as it needed 2 controllers to work and was quite laborious.

It does what it says on the tin 'Ibis Budget'

My first experience with Expedia was not very impressive. when trying to book online, the website went wibble halfway through the payment page. never very comforting. I then rang and spoke with quite a helpful assistant at Expedia. My booking was made and I gave card details to pay. All sorted, or so I thought. When I got to the hotel, they didn't have a booking. They fitted me in bless 'em but I won't use Expedia again. The real test of course is to see if they contact me after this little script. Feedback is only as good as the use you make of it.......

Ibis chateaudun

Simple cheap basic hotel. The shower head wouldn't stay up, but a piece of tape sorted that. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing

Had stayed here before, not so good this time. Asked for an extra pillow, gave me one but put a WET PILLOWCASE how he could not have noticed!! It was the most expensive and disappointing of our trip.

The room I was given turned out to be occupied. Other persons belongings were in the room. I had to ask for another room. All the corridors smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. even though the corridors had no smoking signs.

Late arrival problems

A normal, value-for-money Ibis. But arriving late (midnight) was not without problems. You are supposed to check in by entering a six digit code at a check-in machine, then insert your credit card to pay. I had no code (seems you have to call the hotel to get it - and the receptionist may not speak English), so I had to give the receptionist a wake-up call. She was very nice and entered the code. The machine then refused both my VISA cards. Fortunately, I could pay the exact amount in cash.
