The Flagstaff Clayton Bay - relaxing getaway with water views. Sleeps up to 7

A self-contained holiday home with large deck and sweeping views, just an hour and a half drive from Adelaide. Located in a quiet area of Clayton Bay within walking distance to cafe, yacht club, foreshore and caravan park.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, including coffee machine and the dining and living areas all have views to the lagoon and river. There are 3 bedrooms with the ability to sleep up to 7 people, the master has views and an ensuite. The large, elevated deck area is perfect for alfresco dining or just to relax and take in the view, there is also a BBQ for outdoor cooking.
The house is equipped with games and activities for all to enjoy and a large, enclosed yard for playing cricket or footy and a firepit for those cooler evenings. Bring your 'water toys' and head to the foreshore to launch for an afternoon of fun on the river (we have a large yard with enough parking for car and trailers). Not into water sports, then take a walk along the wetlands and foreshore trail or try your hand at birding, with over150 species of birds in the area, it's sure to fill in a bit of time during your stay.
Bring your golf clubs and play a round at Goolwa, Victor Harbor or Strathalbyn - or if staying long enough play all 3 courses!
Located close by are the cellar doors of Langhorne Creek and Currency Creek with the McClaren Vale region not too far away. For the lovers of antiquing head to the nearby Historic town of Strathablyn. Also don't forget to take a trip to Goolwa's historic port just 25min drive.
However, if you're looking for somewhere to 'unplug', unwind and relax, then we've got you covered, with gorgeous views from the deck, living room, and master bedroom; a selection of books to read; movies to watch and plenty of sleeping in will have you back in your 'happy place' in no time at all.

The place was a great, cozy stay and had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils to thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. We especially loved the selection of games that kept us entertained during our downtime. The view was clear, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we truly enjoyed our time there!

Comfy, clean, easy check in, walking distance to pier 28, other towns within easy drive. Thoughtful touches throughout the house (coffee pods, milk, tea, snacks) plenty of games to keep everyone occupied, brilliant view of the lake. A really lovely weekend.

We only had the one night to enjoy the beautiful Clayton Bay but staying in the Flagstaff made it feel like home. Richard was responsive to my queries and a very good remote host. We had everything we needed plus a record player

Great view with everything you need

We loved the view of the water with pelicans and other birds from both the balcony, lounge and dining table. The house has everything you need with both family and ensuite bathrooms, board games, pod coffee machine and TV. Plenty of parking for multiple cars and a boat. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Nearby we enjoyed eats at Pier 28 who also have a handy small downstairs mini-mart.

A beautiful property with beautiful views!

The Flagstaff truly had everything we needed and more. The place was lovely and very well cleaned and maintained. The views from the balcony over the bay just made it that much better. Definitely will be back!

Best Vacation Beach/Water View Home

The whole property is a gem. I am glad to have found this place. The host Mr. Richard is a lovely person and very helpful in navigating towards easy check-in. The property has great views, well maintained rooms, linens all in right places and quantities, lots of card and board games. And the best part of the property for me is the Turn-Table speaker.
