Quiet and relaxing
Posted Mar. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayThe property is easy to access and the house is filled with natural light from the huge windows. It’s a wonderful getaway if you want to unplug and enjoy a cozy few days of quiet. We found a waterfront Mexican restaurant nearby and walked to the winery next door. It’s very clean and the host is very responsive if you have any questions. Loved drinking coffee on the deck while enjoying the peaceful pond view. Left relaxed and refreshed!

Cute Cabin in the Woods
Posted Mar. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayGorgeous view of a pond with ducks and geese galore. We also saw a red tailed hawk, a flock of robins, and an owl and heard woodpeckers. Lots of frogs and peepers. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. No complaints to speak of. A really nice winery right next door.

Great View
Posted Feb. 26, 2024 on HomeAwayWe loved our stay! From the moment we walked in, we kept saying "this is just so cute!" The house is clean and welcoming. The view of the lake is incredible. There is a house next door, but far enough away not to be bothered by it. We ended up staying inside more than planned because of the weather, but we had everything we needed (and the view, again, didn't hurt). The second room is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures, so we may bring the kids next time! Thanks for a great stay.

Mini weekend getaway

Quiet Getaway
Posted Dec. 29, 2023 on HomeAwayWe stayed here for 2 nights. It was nice to getaway from the city. The place was clean and welcoming. They even had a Christmas tree up in the living room which was a sweet surprise. Our kids enjoyed staying here as well. Ingleside vineyards is a 5 minute walk away. Food was great at the restaurants in Colonial Beach. Would recommend if looking for a quiet weekend.

Nice getaway from DC area

Lovely A-frame home
Posted Oct. 14, 2023 on HomeAwayThis little cabin is a delight. It I nestled in the woods in the country next to a winery. The linens were clean as well as the cabin itself. Amy, the host, was attentive and ensured our stay was a positive experience. We loved the local park and the town of Colonial beach is quaint. This is definitely a place you can spend several days without leaving and feel completely peaceful. I highly recommend this as a place to disconnect from the world.
