Beautiful place to stay

The Anchorage is a fabulous place to stay and the buffet breakfast is really really good. Only downside was a very noisy air con in our room to the point we had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Service and location are perfect. I would recommend staying there.

What a lovely elegant place! All the staff were super friendly, the dining was first rate and they were careful of our allergies. We highly recommend this place!

Overall it was good experience, however the air con in the room is quite loud. It could affect sleep

Beautiful but not what I expected

Have always wanted to stay here and was slightly disappointed. My room choice didn’t have the view I was expecting the bed didn’t look out to view. The tv channels didn't work. The hot food for breakfast was very dry. The dinner was not pleasant. Entree’s were good but main was dry again. The pool area is lovely but there was no drink service slightly uncomfortable with diners looking straight at you. The 2nd breakfast was disturbed by workman drilling as they did repairs at 8.45 in the morning right next to veranda. Lovely chocolates were given for my birthday and a welcome drink which was a lovely surprise but everything else fell short. Very noisy slamming doors in hallways early in morning so not much sleep was had. Also had trouble getting the aircon right was so cold and noisy we had trouble adjusting it. Overall the hotel is beautiful pick your room wisely I had asked for high floor to get best view and was talked into getting lower floor so as to not have to climb stairs. I would have preferred to do the stairs to have a view as that was why I came to this hotel.

Amazing venue with beautiful views over Port Stephens. The dinner at night was excellent; the property is maintained extremely well. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large. The only issue was the air conditioner fan was a little noisy.
