Historic Villa Lucrezia
Highly recommend Villa Lucrezia for a large group (17 in our group) on a relative budget. Situated just outside the town of Cutrofiano, the drive is no more than 30 minute from major attractions, like Lecce, Gallipoli, Ostuni, and Castro. Cutrofiano is a charming town with several restaurants, a Michelin star resort, wine tasting, and a wonderful coffee shop, Mata Hari, where we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, many locals, and friendly expats. The property offers an impeccably clean pool, but the kitchen is a little rustic, so cooking will be a challenge if you plan to prepare your own meals.Property manager Emi and her staff went above and beyond to help us book day trips and drivers. Emi and Melina also prepared delicious homemade pasta (orecchiette) and other local Pugliese specialties, while accommodating vegan and nut free restrictions. Can't speak highly enough about them. The owner resides on the premises so you will not have exclusive access to the property. This can be helpful if you need some guidance on places to visit.
