Heading to Dallas area we found ourselves suddenly without a place to stay. I immediately got on the VRBO website and arranged for a stay at this place. Everyone in our party were very pleased with the home and its comfort and amenities. Neighborhood was quiet and in a great location. Property management was very friendly and professional. Thanks for the opportunity to visit.

Disaster! Worst Ever!

Took 3 hours and lots of hassle to get into the house. Smoke alarm was going off before we got in. Host said they would come take care of it, they never did. We eventually found a ladder and we were able to take the alarm down (so no smoke detector for our stay). 1 bed was not assembled correctly and mattress fell to the floor during the night. Leaving 2 people without a bed. They left us 3 towels, 1 roll of toilet paper & 1 garbage bag for 3 nights and 8 people. We bought towels, toilet paper & garbage bags. Back yard fence is falling down and dangerous. Couldn't let kids play outside without someone watching. Couch is broken in the middle. Last renters leftovers were still in the fridge. Dirty filter in the air fryer, left us wondering if the sheets had been changed. Twice she said she would come take care of something for us and she never came. I don't like leaving anyone a negative review, but if I could leave 0 stars I would. When we couldn't get in, we tried repeatedly to contact her in every way that we could. We did a chat with VRBO, then after a 35 minute hold were finally able to get VRBO on the phone. They helped get her on the phone and she unlocked the door remotely. She had told us to download an app, which several of us did, but she NEVER sent the invite for us to join on the lock for that house. So if we left the house, we had to leave the back door unlocked so we could get back in. Everything about it was a mess. There are other things I could list

Big home

The property was big it had the bedrooms but there was hair in the bed sheets the alarm went off the smoke alarm and I couldn't reach anyone for 2 hours to ask how to cut it off I finally had to have someone come back that was gone and take them down and take the batteries out to cut them off but I tried to contact the property manager six different times through email and through the the doorbell but nobody would respond that was not a good thing to me that no one's there to talk to someone so I did not like that no communication and that the beds were sheets were dirty we had to go out and get some sheets to cover their sheets because we kept seeing hair and things on the sheets but overall it's a nice big place there was pots and pans sitting all on the cabinets there was dishes in the dishwasher washer the microwave was dirty and the ice maker on the refrigerator didn't work and somebody had bags of ice in the freezer that had been open already so no one wants to eat after someone else so there's a lot of work to be done to this beautiful property but it hadn't been done but it was a nice big property and it had plenty of room and I like that

The property was absolutely wonderful and exactly what we needed. There was plenty of space and the location was the perfect distance from our scheduled adventures. The property owner communicated very well and promptly.

Great home and location - one caution

The home was perfect for our faculty retreat. It offered plenty of space for 6 adults to have space for privacy and nice open areas for work related activities. The home is located in a quiet residential community with plenty of parking. We had a problem connecting with the app for getting into the home but the host was able to unlock it for us in a quick time-frame. One caution -- Vrbo has a required extraordinarily huge deposit that is an ongoing issue. I know the owner doesn't have anything to do with getting this refunded quickly but if they have the option to not require this deposit, I would highly recommend they remove this option from their listing. As much as I would like to use this home again for future faculty retreats, I will never rent this home again if this deposit continues to be required -- there is no reason they need to hold such a huge amount for such a long time after checking out. It's over two weeks till they release the money. I can't have that amount of money out for that long.

VRBO stay

The neighborhood was in a quiet location and the drive had ample room to park. The house is nice and plenty of room. My only issue is the house wasn’t properly cleaned. If you’re renting the home through VRBO contact the manager to send you the august request before hand. We had to wait 25 mins just to get in. However, she contacted us and apologized. So it is better to get it figured out beforehand.
