Sea Dog was remodeled in 2024 with fantastic upgrades which included new flooring, new siding, an elevated crow's nest style observation deck with an incredible over the roof height with view of the Gulf to relax and enjoy the view! Want more? You got it! Check out the extended main floor deck and a round 10-foot diameter, 28 inch deep "cocktail pool" to enjoy!
Sea Dog sleeps 11 (9 adults max) with a King in the master bedroom, a Queen and a Twin bunk in the second bedroom and a Twin Daybed that easily converts to a King in the south bedroom! The living room has a pop-up sleeper sofa (so no uncomfortable sofa bed bar) and a twin-size sleeper chair.
Welcome to Sea Dog! This fantastic pet friendly, Gulf view home is located just across from one of Dauphin Island’s last stretches of undeveloped Gulf Beachfront and has beautiful, expansive Gulf views. In addition to the panoramic gulf views from the large open deck and interior, your family will enjoy the spacious open floor plan with charming wood beam ceilings, plank flooring, granite counter tops and more. Sea Dog has three bedroom and three full baths, comfortable living area with an electric fireplace, cable TV, DVD laundry facilities including a full-size washer and dryer and a well-equipped kitchen.

The chef in your family will enjoy the well-appointed kitchen with smooth top stove, microwave, dishwasher, stainless refrigerator with ice maker, Keurig Duo coffee maker - brew an automatic drip pot of coffee or use a single serve pod for individual servings, blender and toaster. Sea Dog sleeps 11 guests (9 adults maximum). The master bedroom is equipped with a California King bed, full private bath, private north deck and cable TV. The second bedroom is equipped with a Queen-sized bed, Twin Bunk and Cable TV and shares the Jack and Jill full bath with the third bedroom. Equipped with a convertible bed that can be used as a Twin Daybed or as a King bed. The large third bedroom has a wonderful Gulf view. A third full bath is located in the hallway just off the living room and kitchen area.

You can’t beat this location! Wonderful open Gulf view from Sea Dog. Just across Bienville Blvd is the Island walking and biking trail. Sea Dog also has access to the northern cove of the nearby neighborhood association beach, located behind Sea Dog to the Northeast, this inlet beach is a wonderful area to launch kayaks or paddle boards (bring your own or ask for local watersport rental information) from the shore or let your young children splash and play in calm waters. Bring your bicycles or jogging shoes to take advantage of the walking and biking trail that runs the full seven-mile length of Bienville Blvd.

Want a comfortable place with amazing views, pet friendly, and so much fun. The Sea Dog is the place to be. This home is welcoming and comforting for humans and pets a like. The pool area is fun and cozy. The attention to detail in every room is superb!! Can’t wait to stay there again. We are already looking to book our next trip!

Fantastic stay! Added boardwalk to the beach while we were there and it makes the walk even better, although the beauty of walking the path is worth it! Loved the crows nest as did my fur babies. They loved to just watch the island!

The property overall was pretty nice. Cleaning prior to our arrival was a bit short of expectations considering the cost of the cleaning fee. The front sliding glass door was filthy. There was only one usable pan for cooking because the rest of them were either worn out years ago or burnt so bad you wouldn't want to use them for fear of what you might consume. The utensils were lacking and so cheap they were pretty much useless. The guest tub had a large amount of rust around the drain and shower/tub valve. Probably would not come back here again.

Perfect home away from home!

The house was perfect and just a quick walk to the beach. It was our first time visiting the Island, but will not be our last. The house had all the amenities you need for a stay and the decor was I’m at the beach but Home as well. I recommend this property!

Perfect Island gathering spot

We needed a dog friendly place with enough space for our little family. Last minute my parents decided to join us. Sea Dog was the very best space to accommodate all of us. The outdoor space is fantastic! Enough space for us all to have our own space and our dog had absolutely everything he needed too!

Loved the stay! The check-in process was easy and everyone I talked to in the office were all wonderfully nice and helpful with everything. Property was clean and well kept. House had enough room for 3 kids (3-5yr) to play around inside. Perfect sized pool for kids and they LOVED it. We really enjoyed seeing all the old toys and kitsch that was in the living/kitchen area. Beach access was easy, just a good walk. The observation deck was great for beach views and for stargazing (should have brought my telescope). The only downsides for the entire stay was that it rained one day, and picking the "stickers" off my pants from a couple of plants in the yard.Definitely looking forward to going back next year!

Great trip to Dauphin Island

We loved our stay at the Sea Dog!The house had everything the humans and dogs needed to have a great trip. Many places say they are dog friendly, but Sea Dog might be the best we have stayed. From the dog bowls already provided to the owners pictures of their pups to the "dog chair" in the corner... it felt like home.A couple of other features we loved... location to the beach. It was a short walk through the sand to get to the beach and put you right out to a great beach!We also appreciated the well appointed kitchen. We cooked almost every night there and had everything we needed!Thank you for a great stay in your home!

Quiet Vacation

Dauphin Island is very quiet and peaceful. The house is well kept and comfortable. Our family of 4 and dog had plenty of space to spread out. Please note that the walk to the beach is the length of 2 city blocks, so be prepared to haul your stuff a bit. Overall a nice place to visit with friendly people.

Perfect getaway

This property is a perfect place for a stay in DI. The house is across the street from a public path up the beach. Slow and steady wins the race, so be patient as you walk through the sandy path with your gear. The house is comfortable and stocked with basics in the kitchen. I’ll be back!

Great spot!

We loved our stay at the Sea Dog! It was so nice to walk into a property that looked like the pictures online. There was plenty of space for us and our 4 kids to sleep and not feel cramped. The hammock chair was a highlight. We used the little pool and deck a fair amount since every day was a Red Flag day. The location is great. It takes about 5 min to walk to the beach, and having the path (and ocean view!) in front of the house was great. We loved how wide open and not crowded it was. And driving around to explore the island was very easy. All in all, it was a great week in a great house!

Beautiful home! Kitchen has every item necessary, if you plan to cook. Decor was wonderful. The walls were all decorated with unique items. The only problem was the bedroom that had twin beds. The cots are only appropriate for young children, not teens. Would recommend the home, especially if you are bringing your furry friend. It is close to the beach, and you can see and enjoy from the porch. We did leave a day early, but only because of the weather.

It rained all week except last full day. I realize this is not your concern, so we could not walk the dog and let her loose in the yard where she got covered in hitch hikers. The TV was out due to the Comcast cable being out. You should get dish and the problem will go away. The rooms were very small except master bed room. The Kitchen was also very small and on the stove top unit , you could not figure out where the burner setting were, because the number next to the dials were worn off. We felt the money we paid was to much for what we got.

Sea Dog Review

Property was very dirty upon arrival-towels not folded, dirty bedding wadded up in closets, dog and human hair everywhere (washing machine and dryer covered in dog hair), dust all over lamp shades and fan chains. Boardwalk manager did come to property and take dirty bedding/towels and wipe out master bath and vanity in guest room. We did have to go and buy our own cleaning supplies and do more cleaning ourselves. Cookware needed to be rinsed or washed before using. Bath rugs were filthy and had to be washed. Our property was the only yard not mowed around us, which seemed to lead to lots of mosquitos. Lots of lightbulbs out or not working in fans and lamps. House was definitely in need of some updating, especially master bath and guest bedroom. Keep in mind the “third bedroom” is more of a sitting room with a very hard daybed/couch (they do provide two cots). Television in second bedroom didn’t work. We love Dauphin Island and the beaches, but we will not stay at this property again.
