Unfortunately, we had to move our travel plans back one day so I called the hotel to change the arrival date to the following day. I was told that because we used Expedia, a third-party broker, to book the hotel it was too late to cancel or move the reservation so there was nothing they could do to help us. Now we lost the pre-paid funds for the hotel. It left a bad taste so we wound up staying somewhere else.

Thomas,Thank you for your feedback. When booking your reservation, you booked the non refundable option which gives you a discount on the room however, no changes or modifications are allowed. I'm sorry for your experience but unfortunately as stated at the time of booking this rate is non refundable.

Our stay was short but we can’t say enough good things-staff was friendly and available, the snack shop was a great idea, the room and common areas were super clean. the best part was the breakfast-lots of great choices and details were well thought out. the food was great! we would highly recommend this hotel and the price made it even better!

Pretty Disappointing For a Hampton

We checked in on Saturday afternoon and was the only ine in our group to be required to pay a deposit. And later that evening while we were in the pool the sign posted said that the pool closed at 11pm in weekdays. At 11:02 a worker came in screaming fir us to get out of the pool. Their exact words were "The pool is closed! Everyone Out Now!" Then we went to bed for the evening and the unit would not hold a temp at all.the rooms were 72° F and we set it to 66 and it would not drop below 70. We also asked for a late checkout and were told at noon. We had someone knocking on the door at 11:01 AM saying we were tokd to checkout at 11 and i told the worker we asked for a late checkout and they were not informed. For theoney ive had alot better for alot less.

I assure you I will be discussing these issues with my staff.While I cannot tell you exactly why everyone did not have to pay a deposit. I can tell you the rate you booked was a online paid reservation. This being the case Expedia sends us their credit card and we are required to get a credit card for incidentals at check-in.As for our employees handling of the pool situation this is certainly unacceptable and I have no reasoning for this. I will be rectifying this immediately.Our heating cooling system will not let the rooms get to 66 during the winter months. I did have our maintenance staff check the system and it is working properly.The late checkout issue seems to be some kind of communication problem. Again, my apologies.I hope you will give us another chance. As you can see by our scores we take customer service seriously.
