FOUR SEASON cabin situated on 5 acres of Federal Forest with DIRECT ACCESS TO SNOWMOBILE TRAIL on White Iron Lake. Rolling terrain with 400 feet of lakeshore. Located on southern tip of White Iron with western picture perfect sunset views. The location has almost zero boat traffic. Tranquil setting for a summer retreat, cozy getaway in winter, base camp for dog sledding or snowmobiling. AND ONLY 7 MILES FROM DOWNTOWN ELY.

*Cabin has two 55" smart tv's with DirectTv and WiFi

60 ft dock/west view in wind protected cove for your boat. Walk out, grab a chair, and enjoy a tranquil view and/or toss out a line for cruising pike. Short paddle north passing only 3 piers before entering a string of islands, great fishing at the mouth of the Kawishiwi River.

White Iron is known for its high numbers of walleye, pike, and crappie due to the inflow of water from the Kawishiwi. Bring back some keepers, cook on charcoal grill or on the fire pit.

We loved the cabin. A great spot on a wonderful lake. Marcel was a responsive host. We really barely needed to contact him, but he was very helpful when we couldn’t find a set of our own keys after we had to check out. The cabin was well suited to a group, and had everything we needed. It was-17 and -37 windchill the weekend we stayed and it couldn’t have been cozier with wood stove and radiant floor heat to support it. The kitchen is perfect if you are a cook. We didn’t lack anything we needed. Mattresses were comfortable, and kitchen table great for puzzles, with a big picture window. We would happily choose it again if Marcel would have us.

Better than we imagined. Fully equipped for all of our needs in the kitchen and very spacious for our party of six. Warm, cozy and more wood than we could ever burn in the fire pit and fireplace. The beds were comfortable and the house was extremely clean. We will rave about this place to everyone and can’t wait to go back next fall.

It was awesome! I truly did not want to leave. Our friends loved it as well. They walked around the cabin a couple of times and at times just stood still, looking over the property and landscape with awe, like my wife and I did. After flying all day and driving to Ely, I slept like a log that first night! That doesn't happen on a strange bed. :o)

Nice clean house, very short walk to the lake. View of the lake from the kitchen was amazing. Only thing that would have been better is if it had ac as it was warm when we were in Ely and even with fans going it was almost too hot to sleep at night.

The location of the property was fantastic! We really didnt hear anyone else around us and access to the water was right on the property. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and more! We had a lovely couple of days using the kayaks, saw some wildlife that included a black bear. Great memories were made! Thank you, Marcel!

Ely Getaway

The cabin was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils. The view is out-of-this-world. They also had movies, games, and books for entertainment. There were 2 metal tandem canoes and 2 sit-in kayaks to use too. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about our week there. We even saw a black bear!

Spring Break Getaway

We had a fantastic stay! Cabin was as pictured. We had two nights of fantastic fires outside. We brought our own wood but the cabin is well stocked with wood for indoor and outdoor fires. Kitchen is well stocked, bathroom was great, water gets hot right away! Beautiful views from the cabin, lots of deer! Good communication, they checked in to see how we were doing. We didn’t need anything. Will stay again!

Perfect Family Winter Getaway

Our group was my husband and myself, our two young adult sons and their girlfriends. There was plenty of space for all of us, the location was very private, quiet and serene. The views were beautiful and we skied and snowshoed right on White Iron Lake - just walked down from the cabin. We made all of our meals there and the kitchen was beyond well equipped. The table comfortably seated 6 and we had fun playing games and keeping a fire going in the wood burning stove. It was a short and pretty drive to Ely and we went into to town to do a little shopping, get to Miners Lake for some ice fishing and to hike the Kawishiwi Falls Trail. The house was clean, the bathrooms and giant tub were so nice and we enjoyed sitting on the deck with blankets and enjoying the view.The basement is so nice and offers a full, cozy, second family room with a 2nd large TV and a room with a nice ping pong table. This is NOT a complaint, just a heads up that it was very chilly downstairs in the winter weather. We did have a fun ping pong tournament and one couple buried themselves under blankets and wore hats to watch a movie on their own, but if you are counting on it as a separate hang out space in the winter. We are really looking forward to returning this summer and enjoying the kayaks, the dock and the fire pit. The hosts could not have been any kinder or faster in their replies.
