InterContinental Resort Tahiti by IHG
"This is a beautiful resort, but a large one, so it can be a hike to some things, depending on where your room is. There are 2 pools so one or the other will be most convenient depending on room location. Four different restaurants, so it's a nice variety, which is good considering you are captive here as there are no restaurants (or anything) in walking distance. The pool areas were absolutely gorgeous! I loved that there is also a saltwater lagoon that you can snorkel in since there isn't really a "beach" accessible from the resort. They also have a sea turtle rehab sanctuary, which I loved! We stayed in a Moorea view room with a balcony and the view was gorgeous and the room was spacious. The only thing besides the bed was one very uncomfortable chair and a desk chair. It would be nice if there was a little sitting area (it had room). There was a small fridge. Food was very expensive (expected) and very good. We ate at Huriama Garden one evening for tapas. The plates are TINY, like a few bites but still ~$20-30 each, so very expensive to feed 2 people more than a little snack. I wouldn't do that again. We ate one night at the Tiki Bar and had a delicious pizza that was perfect for 2 people for basically the price of one tiny tapas dish at the other place. La Tiara was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Excellent staff and you can stay at the resort day of checkout and they have shower rooms to get cleaned up before your flight. Would recommend this place!"
