Blue Pearl Apt

This 55 square meters apartment is placed in the very heart of the historic centre and it can accomodate up to 3 people.
Just 100 mt away from the Duomo, you will quickly walk to all main monuments (Uffizi, Galleria dell'Accademia, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio). The Blue Pearl apt is placed on the 3° floor with elevator (lucky to have an elevator in the ancient buildings of the center!). All rooms have high ceilings and in the wide double bedroom there is the original wooden parquet floor of the beginning of the last century.
The living room is provided with a cosy sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped, where you will find dishes, glasses and pots to cook for your Italian dinners. Wide and quiet bedroom with a big closet and TV that overlooks an enchanting inner courtyard. The bathroom is provided with the shower and the bidet.

In the warm summer you will enjoy the A/C in the bedroom and a powerful fan in the living room/kitchen. The apartment is also provided with heating, high speed Wifi connection, washing machine, oven, kettle and moka coffee maker, hair dryer.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
A baby crib can be provided, on request in advance.

You will love living at BLUE PEARL apt: you will be staying in the heart of the historic center, between the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery. Walking distance from all monuments and places of interest. What a nice idea to pop over your apartment to take a quick nap when you get tired.... !! The property is within easy walking distance of many of the tourist attractions of Florence. We did not use public transport at all during our stay. Many restaurants are outside the door as is a local supermarket. The Duomo is visible from the street. The apartment we stayed in was large, clean and had a lift. There is a kitchen if you want to cook. This apartment is at the back and is very quiet!

The location is perfect! It was an easy walk to everything. Angela was a great host, the apartment is very clean & comfortable. Having a washer was important for us too, it was so nice being able to do a few loads of clothes. Bring your own laundry detergent or there is a store across the street.

Amazing location

My husband and I loved the location of the apartment. Right near great food and all of the hot spots. Angela and her dad were wonderful and very kind, answering all of our questions and making check in easy. The apartment was very spacious but lacks a living space other than the kitchen. Didn’t bother us though as watching tv from bed was what we needed after a long day of walking. Highly recommend.

Wonderful spot

Angela was a fantastic host and the apartment’s location is perfect in the heart of Florence. The Duomo is just steps away and visible from the front street or even the bathroom window! Great restaurants right outside the door and around the corners. Angela also arranged taxi for us on departure which was great because they are hard to get in Florence on phone apps.

Blue Pearl is a Gem

Perfectly situated, close to everything you want to do and see in Florence. The apartment is located at the back of the building so there is no street noise which is perfect when you are adjusting to the time change. We had everything we needed regarding kitchen/bath items and the grocery store was just across the street. Having a washing machine was certainly a perk and allowed us to pack smarter, knowing we'd be able to refresh mid-trip. Angela, the PM, was absolutely perfect to work with and responded to our questions prior to the trip and once we were checked in very quickly!

Pearls of wisdom

Over the last 15 years I've stayed in 8 VRBO rentals in Florence, and in my view it would be wise to consider Perla Blu for a short or long stay in town. The apartment is clean, neat, comfortable, and very quiet. The location is ideal because a 20 minute walk in any direction would cover every site that is on a normal tourist itinerary. The bedroom is spacious, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and there is plenty of room and hangars for clothes. This is the first place I've stayed that has an elevator, and that deserves several bonus stars. Everything in the apartment worked efficiently, and Angela answered my emails without delay. The shower was great for water temp and pressure, but space for maneuvering is very limited and it is a bit slippery because of the slant of the floor. The kitchen is adequately provisioned. I would be happy to book another stay in this apartment.

Close to Duomo and central Florence

Overall the apartment worked well for my wife and I. It was only the two of us in early April 2019. The apartment felt very safe as it took 3 solid doors to get into before reaching the apartment. The place had a washer for clothes that we used twice - fair warning though it took a long time for the wash cycle and there is no dryer! The apartment does have a clothes rack to air dry though. The only complaints we had were: 1) the shower - very small and super slippery! We’ve experienced small showers before on cruise ships but this was smaller than that - and we are not big people. My wife is 5’1 and petite, she even had negative comments on the shower. We both slipped multiple times but got lucky we didn’t hurt ourselves. 2) there were not any instructions on how to obtain the keys ourselves. Angela met us in front of the apartment (as she stated she would), took us into the apartment and explained the doors and elevators sufficiently for us to use. The only reason I state this was a concern of ours is we’ve stayed in several VRBOs or AirBnBs before where we received instructions on how to get the keys from a lockbox. We always preferred this method so our stay isn’t dependent on someone actually handing us the keys. With Angela stating she would meet us at the apartment gave us pause and concern as we’re in a foreign country not knowing our surroundings and no other backup plan. It was odd to us there was no other way to get into the apartment besides Angela meeting us there. I made her aware of my concerns over text and she assured me it’s her job and she would be there. This is placing ALOT of trust in someone you’ve never met before and leaving the possibility of just waiting or even being stranded - however I digress as Angela was there right when we arrived!! I want to have others aware of this method of getting the keys in case you might be nervous like I was. Overall the apartment worked well for us besides the shower. Angela was very helpful and came through on meeting us there. She also called to arrange a taxi for our departure but unfortunately there was a marathon that morning where streets were closed - not her fault! I would recommend this apartment as it was close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and the Duomo (which you can see from the bathroom window). Bed was comfortable with a big open bedroom. Tv with several channels - we did not use the kitchen. Thanks Angela!

Comfortable apartment in the heart of the historic center

We recently spent 10 days visiting Florence and staying in the Blue Pearl apartment. This was the first time that we rented an apartment while traveling as opposed to staying in a hotel. I couldn't be happier with our experience. Based on the information online, the apartment is as advertised and the pictures are accurate. This apartment suited the needs of our family; my husband and I were traveling with our 8 year old son. While the apartment is small, with only 3 rooms, the rooms are very comfortable and good sized. It is located on the 3rd floor of a very quiet building, with an elevator. That was a must as I have mobility issues and the elevator was essential to our stay. The bedroom was very large, the bed comfortable, and there was plenty of space to unpack our belongings. The main room, kitchen/living area was more than sufficient for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you would need to prepare meals or snacks at home. The washing machine was a bonus which we utilized considering the length of our trip. The bathroom was sufficient; the only critique we found was the shower being on the small side; however, we are larger people and that may not be an issue for all. That being said, it was comfortable, there was always plenty of hot water, and had plenty of space to hang towels and accommodate toiletries. On the whole, the apartment was spotless and well maintained. We felt very safe, secure and comfortable the entire time we were there. On top of how wonderful the apartment is in itself, the location is perfect. Just a block and a half from the Duomo, and walking distance to every attraction in Florence, including the train station. Restaurants and shops are all very close by; and there was even a grocery store right across the street. The restaurant next door to the apartment was wonderful and so convenient on our first night to have a meal steps away from our accommodations! Angela was a very gracious hostess and made us feel very welcome. She gave us a booklet with essential information, emergency numbers, and many restaurant and touring suggestions. She also made it clear that we could reach her at any time if we needed anything at all. Angela arranged a taxi for our return to the airport which made for a worry free end to our stay. I would heartily recommend this apartment as well as Angela as our hostess; we thank you for making us feel so comfortable in our home away from home!
