It has been recently renovated and offers a comfortable stay in one of the most popular and living area and it is located 50 meters distance from Ponte Vecchio and few meters distance from Santo Spirito square and Pitti palace. The apartment is located on the second floor with elevator. PONTE VECCHIO Suite has a perfect location for who likes walking in the historical streets of Florence and discovering characterical places like restaurants, trattorie, enoteche. Central, comfortable, perfect for visiting Florence through short walks around the historic center of the city and, for those who love shopping, walking, visiting museums.

The Oltrarno – “Across the Arno” is the artisans' neighborhood, still packed with workshops where craftspeople hand-carve furniture and hand-stitch leather gloves. It began as a working-class neighborhood to catch the overflow from the expanding medieval city on the Arno's opposite bank, but it also became a rather chic area for aristocrats to build palaces on the edge of the countryside. The largest of these, the Pitti Palace, later became the home of the grand dukes and today houses a set of museums second only to the Uffizi. Behind it spreads the landscaped baroque fantasies of the Boboli Gardens, Florence's best park. Masaccio's frescoes in Santa Maria della Carmine here were some of the most influential of the early Renaissance.

Appartement confortable et propre idéalement situé, du bon cÎté de l'Arno, c'est-à-dire le moins bruyant. Accueil agréable et disponibilité de notre hÎte appréciable. C'est un plus pour visiter cette ville extraordinaire.

Séjour agréable dans un appartement charmant.

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs bien accueillis par une charmante jeune femme amie de notre loueur, dans un appartement propre et bien rangĂ©. Il a fait froid et humide Ă  Florence pendant notre sĂ©jour et nous avons bien apprĂ©ciĂ© le cĂŽtĂ© douillet de l’appartement bien chauffĂ©. Les piĂšces sont de petites dimensions, mais bien pensĂ©es, bien Ă©quipĂ©es, avec beaucoup de rangements. L’immeuble nous a paru trĂšs calme et les voisins discrets. Nous avons bien dormi, Ă  peine rĂ©veillĂ©s le matin par les bruits de la rue. L’emplacement de l’appartement est assez idĂ©al, proche du centre-ville et Ă  l’abri de l’agitation touristique de l’autre cĂŽtĂ© de l’Arno, dans un quartier authentique, avec des commerces et des restaurants sympathiques. Je dĂ©conseille le traiteur Maioli Ă  cĂŽtĂ© du Ponte Vecchio, cher et mĂ©diocre. Il existe 2 supermarchĂ©s Conad bien achalandĂ©s dans le quartier. A Ă©viter aussi les taxis depuis la gare trĂšs chers pour qqs minutes. Il existe 2 bus, le 11 et le C4 qui s’arrĂȘtent tout prĂšs. Aux alentours, les jardins Boboli et Bandini, la balade Ă  San Miniato, les bords de l’Arno, la galerie des Offices... Florence est une splendeur !

Great neighborhood but far from the train and I planned numerous trips to other Tuscan locations. I did get to know the city well. It was high season and very very crowded. The chalkenge for me was the bed with a bottom sheet and no removable cover over the quilt on top. I doubt if the quilt was clean. The mattress also was likely very old and too soft on one side so compressed to only a couple of inches. Great communication with the owner and easy to check in and get into the apt and building.

Clean, well appointed and very convenient to the Duomo and Uffizi. Side street makes for much more quiet than some of the major thoroughfares.

Here is our honest review. Wife and I stayed in this unit for four nights. The location is fantastic. Two blocks from the Ponte Vecchio and Boboli Gardens, and just downstairs is a great cafe serving the best gelato and cappuccinos and a mom and pop restaurant with excellent food. As far as the unit itself, it was very underwhelming. The unit lacked essentials as basic as towels (there were only two full towels and again, we were staying three nights), the TV was maybe 21”, the shower water did not get hot, and lastly, the street is pretty noisy during the day, however it does quite down in the evening. I believe the unit was rated in the 9’s, but maybe an 8.5 or so would be more realistic.

Still the best location

Just over the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno side of the Arno. A safe place to get access your banking about a five minute walk and great coffee in minutes. Comfortable bed and easy access to owner

We spent a month in Kay’s nice apartment near the Ponte Vecchio. He made check-in easy and always answered our questions quickly. The area was perfect with a good supermarket nearby and an easy walk to many attractions. The apartment had a good washing machine and the kitchen was perfect for cooking our pasta. We loved it all.

Property exactly as pictured/described. We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed the AC, made use of the convenient washing machine and slept well in the comfortable bed. Great location. As this is our preferred area to base in Florence, we would definitely stay again.

Great location!!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay & would return! The location couldn’t be in a better spot- it’s right in the middle of all the action and everything is no more than a 20 min walk! It was a little noisy but the streets got quiet at nighttime so we never had an issue with sleeping. The only small downfalls were that the apartment halls smelt like cigarette smoke (smelt fine inside apartment though) and it would have been nice to have 1 more roll of toilet paper and a roll of paper towels. Kay was SUPER responsive and helpful with any questions we had! Thanks for sharing your place with us, Kay!!

Great little apartment in a very convenient location.

The apartment is in a great location to many of the sights. Check-in process was easy and host very communicative. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor, there are stairs as well as an elevator. Very well kept and has all the essentials you would need.

Stay near Ponte Vecchio

My husband and I booked our stay with moderate expectations, being so close to Ponte Vecchio. Our concerns were not justified. The check in was seamless, the premises spotless, the bed very comfortable. And there was good lighting for reading in bed! We do not often find that. Although we did not cook meals the kitchen was extremely well organized and very well stocked. Again, we do not always find that to be the case. The only comment I can make - in terms of improvements - is for towels bars, hooks for bathrobes and a deep shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. None provided and all would be an inexpensive addition. We will return! Margaret and Tony

Perfect for our trip!

We had a wonderful experience here all around. The communication from the host was great and the location was ideal -off a popular street and walking distance to everything. But the street itself is quiet with multiple laundry and a small store for snacks and drinks across the street. The apartment is small but clean and comfortable and perfect for what we needed. We felt very well cared for and were extremely happy with our experience.

A cute property within easy reach of Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio a few steps away. Great for night walking the Arno and sneaking an evening gelato. Devrim showed us the apartment And was very reachable if needed. We did not cook much as it was so easy to get great food out. Me self in the bedroom and my grown grandson on the sofa bed. Worked well.

We totally enjoyed our 9 days here.Location is easy access to Ponte vecchio & all museums & shopping. Everything is just minutes of walking distance plus excellent supermarket 5 minute walk. Fruit/veg market is across the street. Ilkay was there to meet us on arrival & offered her help if we needed her. Building was quiet. All our needs were met. We would happily return for another stay.

Excellent Experience in Santo Spirito

Ilkay (the owner) and his assistant Devrim were very helpful and attentive. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities I needed. I was especially grateful for the elevator! My luggage was delayed for a day and Devrim made some calls on my behalf. The bed and couch were very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay! I recommend staying in that area as it is close to the city center but quiet. Thanks for everything! Anne
